The sound of the suitcase rolling started as Marcus spoke, "I'm going, please take care of yourself and be safe." His voice was soft, like a caring friend. Suga, staring off into space, turned his gaze towards Marcus, who was walking farther away, heading towards the gate.
Maybe I should escape today.
As Suga closed his eyes, palm pressed against his face, he unintentionally whispered that thought. Yeah, he felt like he wanted to hide from Zion. And even though Zion wasn't home right now and technically, he was alone in the house, Suga still felt the need to hide. Far away from anything that reminded him of Zion's presence.
Hours passed in a blur. Suga watched reruns of cartoons he had seen before, his face blank.
When a funny scene played, he didn't laugh— not that he was even paying attention to the scene. He was clearly dissociating. It wasn't until his stomach rumbled that he realized he had been sitting in the same position for hours.
