Using an invisibility spell, Lei Wei helped Yuzhen slip into Zoe's chamber unnoticed. Fortunately, no one else was around at the moment.
Yuzhen rushed to Zoe's side, and the moment he saw his master's pale, lifeless face, he couldn't hold back his tears.
He sat beside him, gently took Zoe's cold hand, and pressed it against his cheek. It felt like death.
"Master…" he whispered, voice trembling. "Please… please open your eyes. Master… "Your Yuzhen is here… Please… just look at me."
But the stillness in Zoe's body shattered Yuzhen's heart. There was no response—no warmth, no sign of life.
Standing silently behind him, Lei Wei finally spoke, his voice low with emotion. "He can survive… if the curse is lifted."
Yuzhen's head snapped up. His tear-streaked face turned to Lei Wei with desperate hope.
