A massive magic circle appears above Kyoto and makes the people panic. Whether they are mundane or people who know about the supernatural, they are panicking. The mundane thinking is that it is the end of the world, while the people who know about it panic because they know the barrier around Kyoto has been breached.
The panic gets stronger when they see a thousand figures appear from the magic circle, and the one leading them is Euclid Lucifuge.
"Destroy the barrier and kill anyone who stands in our way. You have my permission to go all-out and cause havoc here."
His command is to get the Soul of a Primordial, and he will use anything to ensure his order is fulfilled.
However, as his people move out, a massive portal appears underneath him, and coming from the portal are a group of people he has never seen before. Some of them give him something familiar, but they have different faces, and he knows they should not exist.
Euclid shakes his head and snaps from his thoughts. He looks at them and says,
"Who are you?"
Zelretch, who leads the army of servants, grins and says.
"Me? The name is Zelretch, and I am here to stop you guys from getting that soul. We don't need you guys opening that box."
Euclid frowns at that answer because he doesn't know how Zelretch gets that piece of information. After all, it is something only the inner circle knows. He snaps his finger and says.
"Attack them."
A second later, all the members of the assault team move as one. Hundreds of smaller magic circles appear in the air and, coming from them, are hails of spells flying toward Zelretch and his army.
However, the sight of the incoming magic does not deter him. The old vampire throws a bunch of jewels and creates a strong barrier around him. The servants he brings immediately take action and join the battle.
Among them is Ibaraki-Douji, who appears before one of the Oni who defected to the Khaos Brigade.
"Kahahaha! Fellow Oni! The name is Ibaraki-Douji! Be honored!"
Her declaration makes the Oni in front of her stop for a moment, and he pays the price for it. Ibaraki releases a strong flame that makes the Oni scream in pain, and his skin melts.
"Fufufufu~ Ibaraki~ You cannot just melt their flesh, you know?~ You also need to melt their bones as well~"
Shuten Douji also joins her fellow Oni in the fight, but instead of using fire like her, Shuten uses 'water' that melts the other youkai to nothing. Even their bones melt when touching the liquid Shuten releases from her gourd bottle.
The liquid from her attack then collects into another gourd, where she takes a sip of that liquid.
"Ah~ Not bad~ It's been a long time since I drank sake made from fellow Oni~"
The other youkai look at her in fear because her power is very familiar to them, especially to the Oni who join the Khaos Brigade.
"Shunten-sama?!"
"Ara~ You know of me, little Oni?"
"O-Of course, we know! We are here to resurrect you!"
"Ara~ I don't really want to be resurrected, though?~ They win the war fair and square~"
"But they poison you!"
"Just like I poison them~ My only regret is not dying at the hand of that handsome golden boy~"
The oni looks at her in shock before one of them says.
"Is that why you joined the humans?"
"Join the humans?~ I never joined them~ I am here to join Ibaraki over there after she made a promise to a dragon who joined our little group."
"The Oni of Mount Ooe?"
"Yup~ She made a promise to fight alongside him against the Gods~ Sadly, he is fighting in Ragnarok and now we need to defend his place in his steed~"
"May we know the name of that dragon?"
"He calls himself Ryan Hernandes~"
Hearing the name, they immediately remember Orochi says, when the devil that recruited them resurrected him. It is the name of someone who slayed the weakened Orochi and someone who is also a dragon.
With that information in mind, the leader of the Oni, who joined the Khaos Brigade, is thinking of his next action. Should he join the newly resurrected lord, or should he fulfill his promise with Euclid? After a few seconds, he made his decision.
"I am sorry, my lord, but I will fight you now. An Oni's word is sacred, and I have given my word to join the Devil."
"Fufufufu~ It is good to see Oni still following the old way. Come~ I will make you into a sake worthy of me!"
And with that, all the Oni continue to fight the person they want to resurrect, for they have given their words. However, instead of regret or even fear, they feel proud when Shuten says their bodies will be used to make a Sake worthy of her.
On the other side of the battlefield, other servants also join the fight, and some of them even use their noble phantasms in the fight. Even Zelretch joins the fight and prevents Euclid from moving deeper into Kyoto.
"Who are you? You are not a human, nor are you a youkai. You look like a vampire and feel like one as well, but the sun does not do any harm to you. Interesting."
"I know that look, boy. That is the look of a researcher wanting to dissect something. Forget it and save your life. You bite more than you chew, boy."
"Boy? I might look like this, but I am older than you. I was born when the Byzantine Empire was first founded."
"Almost two thousand years. Impressive, but that is still young for me, boy."
"What–"
Before he is done with his words, Zelretch casts spells toward him. Just like that, the battle began once again. Each spell that the two cast creates has a beautiful but devastating effect. They destroy all the skyscrapers in Kyoto city and destroy more as the two of them continue to fight.
While the servants and Zelretch were taking care of the invasion of Japan, Ryan and the others were busy fighting against the invasion in Asgard.
And it is getting even worse than before.
"BEGONE!!!"
Ryan manages to block the punch from the Frost Giant, Hrym. His body gets thrown to the root of Yggdrasil. He shakes his head and looks up, seeing the Frost Giant get even more monstrous.
His body is more of ice than flesh and blood. It's ice now, loses any sign of life, and now only madness exists.
And its target of madness? Ryan.
Ryan grunts in pain, but he can still keep fighting. His body is now more of a dragon than human, as this is the first time he has used his Dragonforce this long. He can feel his throat hurting from the excess use of Thu'um.
Even with all that, he still stands up and keeps fighting.
He creates a massive golden portal underneath him, releasing another barrage of attacks against the twelve-meter frost giant. However, his attacks do not work as Hrym roars and stops all of his attacks.
"What?!"
Each of the weapons he sends stops in its place when it gets near the Frost Giant. He sends another wave of weapons, and just like before, all the weapons stop moving.
"Ryan, we have bad news."
"What is it, Akatosh? I am busy."
"I know, but this is related to that giant."
"What?"
"That thing has now reached the stage where it can freeze even time."
"What?!"
"There is good news."
"Please tell me you have a way to defeat that thing."
"Yes. Let me take over your body, and let me use my power. However, there is a downside. You will experience pain for the next two days."
"Take it over."
Something changed inside Ryan's body. His Lancer form is gone, but his Dragonite form looks even more like a dragon. However, his scales are now golden instead of silver and gold, and his aura is stronger than before.
"Tiid-Dovah-Rah (Time-Dragon-God) Akatosh! Grah-Aav! (Battle-Join)"
