~ Five Years Later ~
It's been five years since I was reincarnated into the Pokémon world. In this new life, my name is Siddarth Sahoo, but you can call me Sid. I have long, beautiful purple hair and matching purple eyes. Sahoo is my family name, and Siddarth is my first name. I currently live in the Kalos region with my family.
"Sid, come on, breakfast is ready!"
"Coming, Mom."
My mom, Rubina Sahoo, is a remarkable woman. Just like me, she has stunning purple hair and eyes. People say I inherited my beauty from her. She's one of the best lawyers in the entire Kalos region and is known for being a world-class beauty. I have no doubt about it.
"Good morning, Sid! Come, have breakfast."
"Yes, Dad."
My dad, Roy Sahoo, has brown hair, grey eyes, and a light brown beard. He's the CEO and majority shareholder of the Roy Group, a massive conglomerate started by my late grandfather, Vikram Sahoo. Sadly, my grandfather passed away before I was born, and my grandmother passed away before him.
The Roy Group is involved in everything from exploration to research to shipping, and my dad is the second richest man in the world, right after Rex, the current World Pokémon Champion. He also owns his own business and earns by acting as well.
So, our family consists of just me, my mom, and my dad.
For those wondering, yes—I've retained the memories of my past life. It seems that the "gift" Aphrodite mentioned was this ability to remember. But honestly, I'm happy with my life now. I have friends, though not human ones, just Pokémon.
I've never really wanted to go outside much, not right now anyway. I want to spend as much time as I can with my family.
Yesterday, Dad brought home a bunch of eggs and told me that I'd be taking care of them. I'm beyond excited because I can't even count how many times I begged my parents for Pokémon eggs. Now, they've given me dozens to look after, but I can only choose three. The others will go to the regional professor, who will distribute them to new trainers.
Have I mentioned how rare it is to get a regional starter Pokémon? Due to the region's low birth rate, only nine trainers per year receive regional starters, despite thousands of trainers in the Kalos region each year.
Another interesting thing is that there's no strict "four-move" rule here. Pokémon can learn as many moves as they want, and trainers can carry as many Pokémon as they wish.
A lot of information, right? But now, let me tell you about the eggs I'm looking after.
The first egg is a Froakie's, followed by Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Chimchar, Piplup, Rowlet, Litten, Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.
But there are two eggs that even the researchers at Roy Group can't identify. One is completely black—so black, in fact, that it blends into the darkness. The other is also black but has red stripes running across it.
So, in total, I'm taking care of sixteen eggs. It won't be easy, and once they hatch, it's only going to get more challenging.
As for my education, I'm taught at home—either by my mom, dad, or private tutors they hire. I also have a personal room with a king-sized bed, a TV that covers almost an entire wall, and various other comforts. We even have a garden that stretches for almost 5 kilometers.
I won't lie, I enjoy the privileges of being rich. Not that I'm bragging, but I'm just stating facts. Who wouldn't want to be a multi-millionaire?
Anyway, I spend most of my days watching TV, playing games, coloring, or chatting with the servants in our house. It's not like I have anything else to do.

~ One Month Later ~
*Slide...*
I heard the sliding door of my room open, leading to the garden, and in walked my mom's Pokémon—a Chesnaught.
My mom was also a trainer. She ranked in the top ten of the Kalos League and the top three in the Hoenn League. I'm not saying the Hoenn League is easier than the Kalos League, but at the time, my mom had more experience as a Pokémon trainer.
It's said that at least 300 trainers participate in each Pokémon League, which made me wonder if Ash made it as far as he did just because of plot armor. No hate for Ash, but I honestly think my mom could have won multiple leagues with just a little bit of plot armor.
But enough about that.
As I watched Chesnaught stand at my door, I got up and walked toward him. Yeah, he's a boy.
"Is it time?" I asked.
"Naught," he replied, nodding his head in agreement.
At his signal, I moved closer, and he scooped me up into his arms. He carried me toward the room where the Pokémon eggs were placed. When we arrived, my parents were already there, waiting.
"Has it started yet?" I asked, walking up to my mom.
"Not yet, but it's about to," she replied.
"It looks like I made it in time," I said with a smile.
"Yes, you did," my mom said, patting my head.
She hugged me as the eggs began to glow. Anyone who knows about Pokémon knows exactly what that means.
They are about to hatch.
Soon, nearly all of the eggs started glowing, producing such bright lights that you could see them from outside our property. The glowing intensified, and cracks began to form around the eggs.
The first to hatch was a Bulbasaur. Then came Treecko, followed closely by Chimchar, Squirtle, Charmander, Litten, and Scorbunny, all emerging almost at the same time.
Next, Torchic, Mudkip, Piplup, Rowlet, Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble followed suit.
"It looks like you did a great job taking care of them, Sid," Dad said, inspecting the newly hatched Pokémon. "They're in good condition and very healthy."
"But Dad, what about those three?" I asked, pointing to the three remaining eggs—the black one, the black-and-red striped one, and the Froakie egg.
"Some eggs take longer to hatch," Dad replied. "Others were laid later, so they're hatching at a delayed pace. But now you'll have to take care of these thirteen Pokémon, plus those three eggs.
Are you up for the challenge?" he asked, looking at me seriously.
"Absolutely," I said, determined. If I want to be a successful Pokémon trainer, managing this many Pokémon is just the beginning.
