Bhairavi's POV:
"Marry him. Marry Ekansh," Geeth spoke.
"What? You mean Geeth?", I stood up.
"What the hell? I told you to marry your boyfriend."
You're acting like I told you to marry an alien or
a stranger!" she turned back.
"Geeth. It's not about Ekansh."
"See, B. If you marry Ekansh, Sourav can't kill you.
It's no use to him. How the palace moved
The Ekansha family continues in safe hands. He will have to fight to the death to wrest it back from them through the government. In short, he won't try to hurt you."
"No. Geeth. I won't marry him. Sourav is a psychopath. He killed his own family. I can't put Ekansh or his family at stake."
"Yes, I totally agree with Geeth. Bhairavi, you."
you need to marry me." he cut him off.
"Ekanshi. Weren't you the one who just said you would?"
support my decision when dad asked?" I was losing my cool.
"And you didn't forget that I said I would stand aside
you, as long as you don't choose the wrong path! You are choosing the wrong path. If Sourav gets you, the palace will disappear and Ekansh won't be alive!
Do you want us both to die? Go on."
"Ekanshi, I can't repeat the same mistake. I lost my family. I don't want you to lose yours!"
"Do you really think he's stupid to marry me?
Do you want to surrender to Sourav?" he raised his voice.
"I will have my revenge. I will not marry you until he is punished for his sins."
"Wow. I like your idea. Great job Queen.", he clapped in a sarcastic tone.
'I'm serious-"
"No. You're not-"
"Guys. Shut up. Just shut up.", Geeth yelled at both of them
of us.
"You're worse than children. Really! I don't know."
how will your children tolerate both of you?!" she continued.
I stared at Ekansh as he frowned.
"Geeth, I have lost my family! How can I just get married?"
"B, you want your parents to win, right?
did Ekansha's parents believe and love him or were they against him?"
I looked at Ekansh, "They loved him the way he was
their own son. They were ready to take me
to him.", a tear gushed from my eye.
"So what's the problem? Why are you stopping."
marry him? I will not admonish pa and badi ma
be happy to see you two win together?"
Geeth grabbed my shoulders, "I'm your bff. I betrayed."
you. I might betray you again. But please believe
this time me Marry him."
"Prove that when you two come together, no power
it can prevent you from destroying demons. Take it
as a challenge B!" Geeth tried to wake up the real one
me.
I felt like my old Geeth came back to strengthen me and help me fight the bullies. Still, I couldn't trust her like before.
She lost me. But what if he's right this time?
I took a deep breath and nodded.
"Yeah!" Geeth jumped up and hugged me.
I could barely smile. I don't know what my life is about.
In the morning we went to a small temple on the outskirts of Jodhpur.
Ekansh was in a traditional wedding suit and I was wearing a simple plain pink saree.
We just wanted to register our marriage but friends Ekansh and Geeth forced us to get married in a temple.
I never thought my wedding would go ahead
like this, without my parents and his family. Neither
Ekansh could ever imagine.
He barely smiled. He was dissolved in pain because no
saving my mom and dad. He fell silent and
more serious. He was attached to my family
so early and he was so connected to them
they showered him with love.
Tears welled up in my eyes as we climbed the steps in the temple.
Ekansh stopped me and wiped my tears with his
inch.
"It's our wedding. Even though we didn't want it to happen under these circumstances, we're marrying the one we love." he passed with a weak smile.
I sniffed and looked down.
He held my hand tightly and we entered the temple.
Geeth and his team were standing there with a bouquet.
The rituals began. I wasn't nervous. I just sat down and put my hand on his.
Yes. I'm marrying the man I love. My parents and his parents support our love. We are here on earth to fulfill each other. My subconscious reminded me.
Ekansh filled my counter with vermilion and lifted my chin so my eyes met his.
"Your head should always be upright. Never bow your head before me."
I have no strength left because I had no food yesterday.
I smiled as he picked me up bridal style. As usual he understood me. We did saat phery while I was in his arms. All I could see was the holy fire reflected in his pitch black orbs.
Everyone screamed with joy.
We received a blessing from the priest.
After the wedding, we went to the registry office and had the legal documents verified.
"Can we go to the palace now?" I asked Ekansha.
He nodded.
Ekansh held my hands as we walked inside. It seemed
as if the fire had been extinguished and there was peace again.
There's not much left.
Few buildings were half broken. A few of them turned black, a few others collapsed.
As we walked, I saw my parents' building. Ekansh gripped his hand tightly.
"Ekansh, can they use biometrics to find out if there were any people under the building before it burned down? I asked hopefully.
"Yeah. We can find out even if the ashes are found."
The biometrics team will arrive tomorrow. We'll figure it out by the weekend," he spoke, rekindling my hope.
