Arad spent almost two hours sifting through the countless scrolls. He made sure to return them all to where they were before and found several intriguing things.
Gale had planned to kill and take Zeus's throne for literally centuries. He made many plans, but most failed to bear fruit. Zeus was just too strong, too smart, and too dominating to beat.
Gale knew that he could never beat his father in a straightforward challenge. Zeus had lived far too long and saw everything; he would guess whatever Gale planned and counter him in seconds.
What's more, Gale was weak, far weaker than his father. Even his daughter Tyal outclassed him in power. All that he had was his unique ability to control the wind.
Gale was the wind, and his father was the lightning, both integral parts of the storm.
