Hiroshi remembered what Haruki said that night, causing him to bow his head for a few seconds. He contemplated whether to speak of it or to keep quiet, but his curiosity got the best of him.
"Would you?" Hiroshi asked for confirmation of Haruki's words.
Haruki was not expecting him to ask, but since he did, he met the man's gaze firmly and nodded, "Yes,, in a second, I can."
"There's nothing that can stop you, right? What about Aki? Will you spare my family because of Aki?"
Haruki's obsidian eyes widened at that question before he pressed his lips together. The doctor hasn't done anything deserving of what he threatened, and he had no intention of doing any of that because he had just said it in a fit of rage.
If their family truly did something against the contract they signed with his great-grandfather, then he would have to end their cooperation, but if Aki steps in to beg him, would he forgive them?
