After the empress leaves Yiang's office with a happy face, the shadow guards hiding behind the hidden door come out and turned off the magic recording device.
"Should we report this immediately to the emperor, Sir Yiang?" asked one of the guards holding the magic recording device reviewing the recent recording and making sure it was as they heard.
"Not yet, report it later with the others I'm going to start working with the poison that the empress requested while she will have the deadly one the prince will only have the one that will only put him in a come for a month," said Yiang heading towards the hidden door, "and don't forget to tell the others to start their part of the plan."
After receiving Yiang's order, they left his office, and he went to the hidden lab he shares with Loumei. As he enters the lab he sees Loumei with different kinds of materials, since the two of them work together when it comes to experiments, Loumei brings the materials and studies them before giving them to Yiang to test and write the results.
They also have a dungeon connected to the lab with prisoners that have a death sentence or are traitors that the emperor doesn't want to deal with, they test the poison and potions they make with them to see what kind of reaction they make. They take note of such reactions not caring about the well-being of their prisoners because they are traitors to their kingdom.
"Loumei, the empress asked for the poison it's time to start the plan. I already informed the shadow guards," Yiang said as he stood close to Loumei and warped his arms around his waist. They have kept a secret from their emperor that the four teachers of Xiao are in a relationship, Yiang with Loumei and Yuang with Lumeng. They are afraid that if they tell their emperor while the empress is still here, she might use it against them.
"We should get started to make the poison with the non-lethal variant. Now did the talk with the empress tire you, Yiang?" Loumei said curiously as to why he warped his arms around his waist.
"It did and her perfume is too strong and stinks does she think it will attract the emperor with that kind of perfume? Disgusting it will only attract the monsters from the forest and rats will run away from her" said Yiang with disgust knowing that no one can hear them except their prisoners.
"Just sit down and relax, but also let's focus on making the poison," Loumei said, trying to calm Yiang down and taking notes of the materials and sorting them by the lethality.
As he starts working Yiang makes a fake report of the process of making the poison knowing the empress won't test the poison herself after seeing it work but will test it herself if it doesn't work, another reason to make two different batches of poison. One has the symptoms she asked for while the other one has decreased lethality.
As they work on that Yuang is reviewing the basics of magic with Prince Xiao and helps him with the ones he finds hard. "Teacher Yuang, Why are we reviewing the basic theories of magic?" asked Xiao curious about why they are reviewing them.
"Well my prince, we saw that you have progressed quite fast in both swordsmanship and magic theorems. The reason we are reviewing them is that soon we will practice magic just like you wanted but before practising you need to make sure you understand the basic theorems first," Yuang said while he prepared an exam for him
"So, the thing you are writing is my exam?" asked Xiao still curious. "Yes, if you answer everything right we will advance towards practice but if there are a few errors we will review them again and you will take the exam again," Yuang said answering Prince Xiao knowing there are some parts of the basics that he forgot.
