Christopher took one last look inside the mirror and heaved a deep sigh. This is one of the biggest nights of his life. Today, he's going to take a really big step that will alter the course of his life and future. He has thought about this over and over again.
Last night, he thought about cutting the whole thing off. He made a promise to himself years ago that he won't be happy unless he finds that girl. But he has searched tirelessly, and she has refused to show up.
He can't continue to put his life on hold for something beyond his control. He's in love, madly in love, and he's done hiding it. Tonight, he will introduce to the world the woman who has captured his heart and soul.
"Son you look particularly handsome tonight," Christopher heard Williams voice from behind him, and Christopher turned around.
"Thank you so much, Father," Christopher thanked him, and Williams stood there by the door, not knowing what to say. He closed the door behind him and walked up to Christopher, and helped him with his tie.
"Son there's something I must tell you. I never thought this would come in handy, but I guess there's no escaping the topic after all." Williams said, and Christopher wondered what he was going to say to him.
"When I was younger, over thirty years ago." Williams begans as tears trickled down his eyes. Christopher frowned. He wondered what his father wanted to say to him. Whatever must have happened must have affected him a lot, and it even happened before he was even born.
"Back then, I used to live in the other city with your grandparents and aunts and uncles. I fell in love with one of the maids there, her name was Whitney. She was and is still the most beautiful woman I have met in my life." Williams face lit up as he talked about the love of his life.
"I loved her fiercely, and she loved me too, but I was too weak to fight for the love I feel for her. I thought she was a maid and my parents would not accept her. You know, back then, the battle of who inherited the company was so fierce, and I didn't want to lose out." Williams continued.
"I chose the life I thought I wanted over the life I truly wanted. I let her go, even though it wasn't intentional. Your mother was a maid as well, and I don't know how it happened, but I slept with her. My parents insisted I married Maria. I agreed, but that was the worst mistake of my life. I thought I was doing the right thing, but I was wrong." Williams cried.
"I should have fought for her, I should have held her tight and shut the world out. I still would have taken good care of you, but I didn't have to marry her." Williams chuckled as he sniffed back the tears.
"But I was too weak, and guess what, son? I have lived in regret every single day for the past thirty years. I wake up every day missing and loving her the more with each breath I take. Don't make the same mistake I made, son. Fight for the woman you love. Fight for Jane." Williams said, and Christopher didn't know how to react to all he had just heard.
"Dad!" Williams heard Grace's distressed voice from behind and turned around. She was right there with Kyle, and they both had tears in their eyes. Williams shut his eyes because, without a doubt, they heard all he said.
"I'm fine guys, you don't have to worry about me. There's nothing I can do about it now, but Chris can do something now before it's too late. I will be downstairs waiting for you, and make sure you make the right choice." Williams said, and Grace walked to her father and threw her arms around him.
"I'm really sorry, dad, you sacrificed so much for us. How could you have done so much? You should have gone after that woman." Grace said, scolding her father.
"Then you and your brother Kyle would not have existed. At least I got something good out of it all." Williams said and smiled, but Grace wasn't having it. She still feels so bad.
Kyle, on the other hand, didn't know what to say. The night is already heated with so many emotions. He can only imagine what the rest of the night will be like. Williams pecked Grace on the cheek and patted Christopher's shoulder before walking out of the room.
"Come on, Kyle, we should leave." Williams said, dragging Kyle along.
"Did you have the slightest idea of what Dad just talked about?" Grace asked Chris, and he shook his head.
"Nope I didn't have any idea he had such history. No wonder he was able to decode the relationship between Jane and I that fast. Well, I guess I have made the right choice then, I'm going to fight for the woman that I love regardless of the consequences." Chris said.
"And I'm going to do the same too." Grace said as her mind drifted towards Mike.
"He's a married man Grace, be careful and don't allow him to hurt you." Christopher said, and Grace kissed him on the cheek.
"You don't have to worry, brother. I'm going to take care of it." Grace said and walked away.
"I will let you know when you can come down. We made so much plan for tonight. We have to make sure it turns out well." Grace said, and Chris smiled.
"I can't wait to see the look on their faces tonight." Chris said with a smirk on his face.
Angel paced her room restlessly. She can't get the feeling that something will go wrong tonight. She tried to shake the feeling off, but she couldn't seem to.
"Dad!" Angel cried out in despair.
"You have nothing to worry about, darling. I have put my men in position. They will make sure that trash Jane doesn't come anywhere close to this place tonight. And if she's even sighted, she will be dead before taking another step." Jonas assured Angel, making her smile a bit.
"Thanks so much, Dad." Angel said.
"Now lets get you down. Everyone is waiting for you." Jonas said.
