Chapter 233 - Chapter 233

Jack quickly picked up his phone and put a call through to the private investigator. He has been looking for Cassie for weeks now, there's no way he's going to let her go this time. He's going to have to look for her no matter what.

"Hey you have to follow after them right now, go after the car. Try and see if you can trace the number, I have to find this woman. I must find her. We can't lose her," Jack said to the private investigator who was wondering why he was so hellbent on finding the girl.

"Alright that's not a problem, I'm already heading outside the club. I'm going to try my best and follow after the girl." He said and was about to end the call when he heard Jack say something else to him.

"Do I need to come with you?" He asked him and the private investigator shook his head.

"No there's no need for that, I'm sure I can handle this on my own. I can't wait for you, it's going to slow me down. And if you come with your car, they will get suspicious of us both." He said and Jack understood perfectly well where he was coming from.

As much as he wants to find Cassie and hold her close, kiss and make love to her till she can barely breathe. He still needs to be calm and keep a cool head so he doesn't screw things up for himself.

"Alright, I understand you. Keep me updated, I will check back with you in an hour if I don't receive any news from you." Jack said.

"That's good, you can do that." He said and ended the call. Jack threw his head back on the chair he was sitting on as he held his head in frustration.

"Oh Cassie, please be safe. I need you to be safe. I'm damn worried about you and I can't get the thoughts of you off my head." Jack said as he muttered to himself silently.

"I never thought you would be dealing with love issues yourself." Jack heard Jane's weak voice and he quickly jerked up. He didn't think she was awake and would be listening to everything she was saying.

"Uhmm, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you like this." Jack said and walked closer to her. He touched her forehead to see if she was sweating or something probably running a fever but she seemed fine.

"I can see you are getting better, I can move outside if you still want to catch some sleep. It's not a problem," Jack said and Jane shook her head.

"I promise you that's not necessary, I'm perfectly fine and okay. Besides, I'm tired of constantly sleeping and being on this bed. When can I go home? I can't wait to see the children." Jane said, her heart longing for little Chris and also little Jane as well.

"I think that's up to the doctor, the boss would have taken you home for treatment but a lot is going on in the Smith mansion at the moment. Now is not the time to go home just yet." Jack said as he stared at Jane with so much affection. He can't believe he's actually beside his long-lost sister. Even though he's yet to get the DNA test done, he believes he's not a mistake. Jane has too much resemblance to their mother, this can't be a joke of some sort." Jack thought to himself.

"Hmm!" Jane simply said.

"Where's everyone? Why are you the only person here?" Jane asked as she couldn't see anyone around apart from Jack.

"The boss left together with Grace to the mansion, according to what they both said. They need to fix some things." Jack said to her.

"And Mrs Whitney went to get some dinner." He added and Jane nodded her head.

"That's fine, I just can't wait to leave this place. I'm tired of being on a spot." She said and Jack smiled, he found her adorable. All these years, he has longed to see his sister.

He carried this guilt and shame all over him. He didn't fail his mother, after all, he found his sister. He thought to himself, he wished he could shout out loud that he found his long-lost sister.

"All in due time, you will be out of this place and you will be with the man that you love. Not only that, you will be getting married to him pretty soon. Aren't you just the luckiest person in the world right now?" Jack said to her and Jane giggled as she blushed to his words. She can't believe how obvious it is. She's in love with him, no doubt and she's not willing to hide this anymore. She can't wait to be his wife and then they will spend the rest of their lives together.

"I can't wait still but then, there's Angel. She won't stop until she gets a hold of Chris, she's constantly trying to be with him and separate us." Jane said she couldn't help but voice out her fears.

She can't tell why but she feels comfortable talking to Jack. Jack on the other hand feels elated that she trusts him enough to talk to him about things like this. This is more than enough conviction that there's a connection between them and they are siblings.

"You don't have to be bothered by her, the boss loves you and that's all that matters. You don't need to feel threatened by her in any way. You are the only woman he has eyes for, for the past three years, I've been working with him. I've never seen him treat a woman the way he treats you. He's crazy about you, so don't think too much of it. You are all he sees and you guys will be together." Jack said and Jane smiled. She felt really happy with what she just heard.

"Thanks a lot for that," Jane said, she feels more assured and at peace now. She can't help but beam with so much happiness and excitement.

"I'm sorry to ask but you were talking about some girl. Do you mind sharing?" Jane asked him.
