A few weeks have gone by. My parents said they would take me back to see Lex and that I would stay where I have been for school over at their vacation home. That was a lie. Weeks later here I am at their personal home I grew up in on the outskirts of town away from the school, away from all my friends I never knew I had, away from everything. Mom wasn't kidding when she said she was going to baby me. The maids here have been taking care of everything I need. It feels weird when I'm perfectly fine to be pushed around in a wheelchair.
Still there has been no sign of Lumina coming back and I'm starting to wonder if I dreamed everything up and my healing was just a miracle as impossible as that seems.
The rehab nurses from the hospital apparently came and knew where to visit as they helped me relearn how to walk while my mom eagle eyed them from afar. It was a couple weeks of this on and off walking along a railing that was installed for me to hold myself up. I pretended to fall a few times. Which did hurt since I was healthy with feeling back in my legs but whatever helped keep up the act I did.
The nurses stopped coming after they showed my parents what to do to help me as they insisted, they would be the ones to help their son not some hired help from the hospital. So here I am pretending I can't walk and falling again while my mom's crying next to me at my pain. I feel terrible. So, I've been upping the improvement every day to walk more but when I put in too much effort, I feel my energy suddenly drain and there's times I feel like I'm falling for real.
Not to mention my cellphone would constantly go off throughout the day. The messages started off bad at first.
Lex: hey man where are you I thought you would be back right after the hospital?
Lex: did you guys get into a car crash? I figured you were done with car accidents for a while. LOL
Lex: careful with that new game I think the company thought you were going to die so just don't let anyone else play it for now ok. >.>
Lex: you suck at replying so I called your parents and they filled me in have fun over there. While I'm stuck studying for school. Guess I was worried for nothing.
The messages stopped coming in from Lex after the first week. I guess he figured I had enough going on then to keep pestering me. I didn't think I would miss the guy as much as I did but that's a best friend for you.
Later, at dinner I spilled some soup on my pants. It didn't hurt like I thought it would I guess that's the new body for you. That would seem weird to avoid a reaction though since my parents saw it happen sooooo.
"AHHHHH HOT HOT HOT" I screamed and made a scene falling backwards in my chair and wiggling on the ground as if I couldn't use my legs to get back up. When I saw my mom rush to stand up, I decided it was time to stop playing around so I could get out of this house and with great effort made it seem like I was able to stand by myself again and returned to sit down after fixing the chair.
"Honey did you see that! Our boy is standing and moving again! I knew I was doing an amazing job with the rehab." Mom smiled and gave my dad a huge hug jumping for joy.
"I see it looks like you will be able to go home soon. I doubt it's your mom's coaching I've seen her stumbling alongside you in the room we had installed for you. It must be the strong body you inherited from me of course." My dad said puffing out his chest.
Weird enough already that my parents have enough money to throw around, but I feel bad considering they both have taken leave from work for me. There might not be another time for us to be together as a family like this.
Moments like this make you forget there's a weird life form inside you recovering from the crash on our planet.
After I helped the maids clean up the best that I could while taking short breaks to sit in between so it seemed I wasn't 100% better I figured it was time to turn in for the night. I will always miss my old room growing up. Even though most of my things are stored away or with me at the vacation home already. My room walls are still painted blue and purple my favorite colors as a kid and my old bed seems to have been removed and replaced with a California king. I can roll around for hours and never fall off. I'm pretty sure this was bought before I came home from the hospital, I wouldn't put it past my parents to do something like that.
*BZZT, BZZT, BZZT*
What the heck is that? Is that my phone? Who's messaging me at this time.

How does everyone have my phone number is my mom going and handing it out like candy again? Even though I know my mom loves Katie and would give her anything she wanted. She even stayed here growing up with us on and off over summer. That was while girls had cooties and boys were yucky. Then we grew up and that would be too weird staying together now.
My face turns a little red I can feel the heat rising in my cheeks and I feel embarrassed even entertaining the thought of us having sleepovers anymore. Anyways what does she even want.
Katie: Hey
That's it that's all she wanted to say that's weird.
BZZT BZZT.
Oh, there's more?
Katie: Loser
Katie: you are not sleeping so reply before I kick your ass.
Axel: hello? What do I owe the honor?
Katie: oh, you seem to be feeling just fine. Here I was worried about you for nothing.
Axel: you were worried about me?
Katie: NO >.< I was just seeing when you were coming back to school, I was told to collect homework to give you, so you don't fall behind.
OH great. Stupid damn school. I almost die and get assignments for class. I should have just died then. What kind of college makes this sort of acceptance letting me make up work. I guess that's fair considering none of this was my fault.
"You still can die if you would like. I'm glad to see you can joke around with your lover girl and contemplate death. You humans are strange creatures. Didn't mean to overhear your thoughts but I just came back." Lumina said materializing next to me in a spiritual form, but I could make out her looks as the same woman from the dream I had.
"AHHH SHIT you can't just be doing that!!" I could feel my heart about to burst out my chest at the sudden appearance.
"Here I thought you missed me and wanted to get a good look again seeing as how you have time to be a ladies' man and all. Glad to see you aren't on an examination table in bits and pieces. Then again if you were I wouldn't have woken back up. I have more energy now and I'm starting to feel like my old self so your body will soon react to that as well. Heads up in advance." Lumina spoke disappearing.
"Young master are you ok in there? Your mother sent me to check on you and I heard some noises" One of our maids asked while knocking on the door.
"Let mother know I'm just fine I just had a bad dream but I'm alright now."
I could hear the maid walking away after she took a quick peek inside and nodded her head at me.
Katie: HELLOOOO?
"You going to reply to that message or not. Can't keep a lady waiting." I could hear Lumina laughing away in my head. I guess it's good to have her back, but I already forgot how aggravating she is.
Me: sorry had something to take care of. Thank you for the homework I'll grab it from you as soon as I'm back
Katie: good I don't need you being any dumber than you already are and failing out of school.
Katie: anyways that's all I needed from you. Goodnight.
What a pain in the ass woman. As well as school being even more annoying.
I decided to fill Lumina in on how things have gone so far and my progress and by the time I was done the sun was already coming up.
"I guess I was sleeping for longer than I thought I was." Lumina spoke while in her spiritual form staring out the window at the sunrise.
"While unconscious you get a better understanding of yourself. For my people we can do many things and relive moments embedded deep in our soul to see past events from different perspectives to help us grow further. This would be similar to you sleeping. Eventually you might be able to access parts of yourself you didn't even know you had.
This helps the mind grow and develop a better understanding of the body so you can use abilities easier. Abilities for you humans would probably be looked upon as the word you call magic. Seeing as we are both one being now in a way needing each other to survive for the moment you will notice changes soon".
Axel still groggy from the events having taken place and finally getting a peaceful night's sleep stared off at the ceiling. "What kind of changes might that be I already have a fast recovery rate something that might be considered that of a superhuman. Also, what do you mean we need each other for now?"
"Foolish boy I'm starting to recover my energy back and the stronger I am the stronger you will be. I won't need you forever and you won't need me. Unfortunately, your body will never be the same and you'll become a mix between my species and human. So, the term you used "superhuman" would be somewhat correct. As for the changes or magic properties I mentioned. You will gain affinity with the elements soon depending on certain things. I'll walk you through them as they happen.
The days came as fast as they went and before I knew it the rest of the month was gone, and I was on my way back to my true home.

"How fares the boy."
"He seems to be recovering nicely it's been a few months of seclusion at his family residence, but we have the information on his recovery speed and his current status."
"Well done. Keep an eye on him when you can there's all sorts of abnormal things happening after that meteor shower. That boy wasn't the only one affected there were many accidents and casualties. Deaths and recoveries in other towns and more in our town that I've been keeping tabs on. Craters all over the place outside. Here's a list of individuals I want followed. I'll be putting in a word to Chancellor Saze for the transfer of Axel and some others to someplace special. Thank you, my nurses, you're free to go."
"Yes Dr. Miles."
The nurses proceeded to leave and closed the door behind them. Next to Dr miles you could see a glimmer of light start to form.
"Looks like I got a high-ranking human host how lucky am I. Just remember our promise to find the traitors among my race and gather as many of us together as possible and I'll help you leave this small planet and give you whatever you desire. Or...."
The bright energy spoke coming closer to Dr miles you could see a small cut open on his neck as a few drops of blood trickled down.
"I could kill you if you refuse."
"I will comply with your demands, and I will take my rewards no need to dispose of me. I already feel my body changing and the energy you provide it'll be easier with me than without so relax." Dr Miles wiped the blood from his neck glancing over his shoulder and walking towards the open window on the top floor of the hospital inside the back room.
"The world's about to change. I just want to see it."
