Lu Jing watched with an aching heart:
"Xiao Tang, what's...?"
Silly girl, is it worth it?
It's just a man, and if there's anything the world isn't short of, it's two-legged men. If one doesn't work out, just move on to the next.
But Lu Jing certainly wouldn't actually say that. After all, he'd been through it himself and could understand.
Xiao Tang shook her head and wiped her face a few times:
"I'm fine, Doctor Lu, what brings you here?"
"Just got off work and came to check on you."
There was no one else in the dormitory at the time:
"Doctor Lu, come in."
He didn't look around much after entering.
There wasn't much to see in the nurses' dormitory; several people lived in one apartment, each with a small partitioned off area for sleeping.
The living room was small, and then there was a shared bathroom and a small kitchen.
"Feeling better now?"
Xiao Tang was on sick leave.
"Yep, no fever now."
So, it really wasn't pretense; who could control when they fell ill?
