"Unlike most of King Oberon's children, Merlin was rescued by our King once his mother died by giving birth to him, and he was abandoned in the church, where he was barely raised. He had a harsh childhood, and was quite the unruly child when King Oberon brought him over… I remember that I was but a little baby fairy back then, and he was so very rude to everyone… but he has changed so much! He even taught magic to the Lady of the Lake, his aunt, someone much older than him!"
