Gao Fongze and Gao Feng survived the combined assaults. They were not unscathed, though. Both had many wounds on their bodies. Sui Kou didn't make it. He died from the mob beating.
"Damn it! What the hell happened? I thought you were supposed to intimidate them into submitting to you. We will be in big trouble explaining this when their clans come asking," Gao Feng said.
Gao Fongze didn't answer. He was still bewildered by the entire situation.
Gao Feng didn't stop. He continued asking, "And where the hell is the reinforcements? I thought our people were ready outside."
"They are not coming."
Hearing the voice, they realized there were people aside from the two of them who were still alive. They turned and saw Amon still sitting in his chair. Gao Lan remained behind him. The two never moved during the entire ordeal.
"You… It's you? It's you who poisoned them…!!" Gao Fongze realized.
"Guilty as charged," Amon stood up.
"Ho… how…?" Gao Fongze asked.
