"So, all of this now—is it within your expectations?" Feng Yexuan asked, slightly surprised.
Chu Qianli nodded. "Yes."
She added, "But it came several hours earlier than I had anticipated."
The physical constitution of ancient people is inherently different from modern individuals; this was something she accounted for when formulating the medicine.
Yet there was still an error in her calculation.
"It'll be fine. I'll go inside and take a look."
"I will go in with you," Feng Yexuan said, walking ahead of her.
"But you have to promise me one thing." Chu Qianli reached out and stopped him.
Feng Yexuan lowered his head, staring at the little hand gripping the cuff of his robe.
