Chapter 606 - No...

"I'm on no one's side really." Lulu shrugged.

"I don't believe that, you sound like you don't want them to get back together." Charlie said.

"I never said that, you did." Lulu yawned as she lazily looked for a good movie to watch.

"I just want them both to be happy, Natasha especially, we all know she's the one that got the wrong end of the stick when this whole thing blew up." Lulu said.

"That's fine and that is understandable to know that you think that way." Michael said. "But what I don't like is that you seem to prefer Natasha's happiness over Dom's." He added.

"And so what if I do? It's the truth, he's the one who caused all this nonsense because of his trust issues." Lulu said. "Yes, I sided with him in the beginning, but now that I'm older and I'm a woman, I side with Natasha more, she suffered a lot guys, you all know that." Lulu said.

"We do see how we were wrong now." Nine said.

"Good." Natasha said.

"Which is why if Natasha manages to truly forgive Dom and they get back together, that would be fine, but if they split up, that's also fine for me as well." Lulu said.

"So you want them to not get back together?" Charlie asked.

"No, it's just that, they should both be happy and if they cannot be happy together, it's best they separate, it would be best for us all, including Joy." Lulu said.

"Wow, Lulu, I didn't know that you were so cold like this." Michael shook his head.

"I am not cold, I am being considerate, all their lives they have had to live up to the expectations of others, now it's their time to finally choose what they want, not what their friends what, not what their parents want, not what grandfather wants, not even what Joy wants." Lulu said.

"It is time for them to focus on themselves and be sure of what they want respectively." She said.

...

"It's nice to have everyone over for a game night." Dom said as Natasha removed the boiling water from the stove..

"Mhmm, it's nice." Natasha replied, she poured the boiling water into six mugs.

"It reminds me of the good old days." Dom said.

"Mhmm, me too." Natasha replied, she stirred the hot chocolate with one spoon.

"The weather outside is really nice." Dom said.

"Mhmm." Natasha replied, Dom frowned, she seemed to just be replying idly.

"You don't want me here do you?" he asked, she turned to look at him and frowned.

"I never said that." She replied.

"But your actions say so." Dom said. "I just came here to help you, if you don't want me here, I can ask Lulu to come help you." He said.

"You jump to conclusions too much, one of the things that irritates me." Natasha almost rolled her eyes at him. "I never said that, you think too much, I was paying attention to what you were saying, just because I was not cheery or smiling doesn't mean I wasn't listening." She said.

"Oh..." Dom said.

"Yes, I never told you to leave, thank you for helping me, but if you want to leave on your own, you can send Lulu, it's fine." She said.

"No... no." Dom said, he felt like an idiot, he did really overthink this, he could not help it, it was just so strange for him to be in the same room with Natasha peacefully, he did not know what to say, the awkwardness was too much for him to handle.

"It's just that... I am not used to us relating so casually, I don't know what to think or what to say." He admitted.

"Typical overthinking from you, it's one of your many vices." Natasha said. Dom took three mugs and added sugar into them and stirred them.

"Wow, I will admit, I have a tendency to overthink, but you seem to have been waiting a long time to say that to me." Dom chuckled.

"You're a very annoying person fifty percent of the time." Natasha said, she looked in the cupboards for a pack of marshmallows, to her surprise there was actually a bag of marshmallows there.

"Ahhh, I see, which means the other fifty percent of the time, I am lovely." He smiled and winked at her, she scoffed.

"No, you are not, if anything you are just a good father." Natasha said.

"Low blow, low blow, you make me feel like such a bad person." Dom said as Natasha ignored him.

"You said overthinking is one of my vices, just for the sake of clarification and better enrichment, what else are my vices?" Dom asked, Natasha scoffed, she looked up wondering if he was serious.

She took one look at his face and knew that he was dead serious.

"You overthink, you jump to conclusions, you feel like everyone has to like you, you always have to be perfect, you always have to be the best, you hate to disappoint people and worst of all you chew loudly." Natasha said.

Dom stood there staring at her blinking, she had definitely been holding all that in for so long.

"Wait, you think I chew loudly?" he asked, Natasha turned around and scoffed.

"Out of everything I said, that's the only thing you heard." She mocked.

"Well yes, that's the last thing you said, all the others I can allow pass, but not this one, what do you mean I chew loudly?" he asked.

"You do chew loudly, it's so annoying, it sounds like a goat eating grass." Natasha said, she folded the bag of marshmallows and put them in the fridge.

"I do not chew loudly." Dom said.

"Oh yes you do and it's super annoying." Natasha said.

"That's not true, I don't chew loudly." Dom insisted, he never heard himself chewing in such an irritating way Natasha described. "I'm sure that maybe you just have misophonia where you hate the sound of people's chewing." He concluded.

Natasha groaned, she turned to him and frowned. "I do not have misophonia, I have domophonia because it's only when you chew that I get annoyed." She said.

"Nope, I don't agree, you must just be projecting your dislike for me onto my chewing, which by the way is very normal." He said.

"Another vice of yours, the fact that you rarely admit that you're wrong." She said.

"I am going to have to disagree there, I know when I'm wrong, and right now, I am not wrong about my chewing being normal." Dom frowned, he did not know what exactly about Natasha's loud chewing accusation that irked him.

He could take all her jabs at insulting his character, but not his chewing, never his chewing.

"You're doing it again, you're not perfect Mr White." Natasha scoffed, she grabbed three mugs and walked away.

"Hey, wait for me, we are not done talking about this." Dom grabbed the remaining threw mugs and followed after her.

"*Ugh* There are no good movies to watch tonight." Natasha walked into the living room as Lulu groaned.

"Here you go." Natasha handed her some chocolate and then she handed Charlie his mug.

"How sneaky of you, I thought you said you had no marshmallows." Charlie chuckled.

"I thought we didn't, you're in luck, I found a bag stashed far away in the cupboard, enjoy." Natasha smiled, she sat down and drank her own hot chocolate.

Moments later Dom walked in and handed Michael and Nine their mugs and then he sat down.

"There are no good movies to watch tonight." Lulu groaned.

"That's alright, we don't need movies to have a good time, we'll do what we did to have fun in the old days." Michael said.

"Which is?" Lulu asked.

"Talking and telling stories." Michael said, Lulu frowned and shook her head, that was so boring.

"I agree, back in those days, the tv wasn't on all the time, we had to use other means to entertain ourselves." Dom said as he sipped his hot chocolate.

"That's why we are much more sociable, all the children nowadays are addicted to their phones." Dom said.

"Oh, spare me the talk grandpa, stop acting as if you're older than you are Dom." Lulu said as Dom and the others chuckled.

"Which reminds me, guys, I have something very important to ask you." Dom said, instantly he had everyone's attention.

"We're listening, what is it?" Nine asked. Michael and Charlie looked at him attentively, even Lulu paid attention as well.

"Do you guys think that I chew loudly?" he asked, as soon as he did Natasha scoffed and scowled at him, how childish could he be to continue this conversation and rope everyone else into it.

Another thing she forgot to add to his long list of vices, the fact that sometimes he could be so overly childish that she wondered if he truly was an adult or just simply an immature child in an adult's body.
