Proximity to system users brings both fortune and misfortune, those that surround them are bound to face disasters and find opportunities as well, and as Eve has confirmed many times before, Daimon isn't a regular system user.
Just look at the Calvin and the other members of the elite class, they have changed so much during their time in Neptune, and this all has been just the normal for those close to Daimon, it's not on the level of an "opportunity", otherwise they would have triggered a mission for Daimon, like Mellie, Daphne, Marlene, the Empress or the Nethereal sisters did.
