'Strange' was what he thought. He wasn't sure what to expect especially after death. It happened all too fast, the pain, the suffering- then nothing. It all faded to black- to nothingness, it was cold but what was going on now? What was this?
Everything seemed so clouded, muffled it was confusing. He just died had he not? Why was he able to move? Shouldn't he just feel nothing at all? Even if he couldn't properly move at command, he was still doing it- No he was being carried? He found himself struggling in the tight hold, why do they feel so large? It was like he fit perfectly within those arms that decided to hold onto him.
As the seconds went by, everything started to get clearer. His mind wasn't as clouded, as the sounds around him began to blare out- cries? He could hear cries, and he knew it couldn't be anyone else but himself, it was as though his lungs were on fire and he so desperately wanted to put the flame out. Why was he crying? He couldn't stop it, his arms flailing around as he so desperately wanted to understand his situation.
No matter how much he tried to move his arms, they wouldn't budge, it was then he released he was wrapped with something… a cloth if he was to guess, providing comfort and warmth. He found himself calming down, his cries getting quieter as he pried his eyes open.
Hatake Rei had just given birth to her first child, a healthy boy, with dark eyes and tufts of silver hair which was to be expected. With how strong the Inuzuka genes were, it would seem the Hatake genes are much more dominant.
The child was looking right up at her, now quieter than before. It was as though he was studying her, trying to understand something. She couldn't help but just chuckle at the revelation of her son only been born and already acting like his father.
"He looks just like you" she murmured, she held her child closer to her as she continued on smiling with contentment.
"I suppose you can say that" Sakumo responded as he too stared at their first child, a dopey smile sprawled on his face as he did. He looked ridiculous Rei wanted to say.
"Takahashi, let's name him that" she spoke again.
"Takahashi" Sakumo repeated, testing the name. He hummed after a while before speaking once more. "Alright, but if we have another one, I want to be the one to name them."

After he was born his mother spent her days and nights caring for him and herself. Sakumo was usually busy with his 'shinobi' work.
His mother, Rei would often make comments about when he was younger. 'You were a quiet baby at first' was one she had told him not too long ago. He didn't fuss nor cry, his mother would know immediately if he did either of them then something was seriously wrong. It was when he was approaching his first birthday was when he began speaking more- by speaking he meant 'babbling'.
He really wasn't babbling, but of course, to them, it was because while that babbling was his first language to them it was a baby speaking nonsense. Although he couldn't remember much from his earlier time in this strange new world of 'ninja's'.
He found himself settling into this world easily, maybe it was because he no longer remembered the people he knew from his past. Surely if he did then he would be having a much harder time. There wasn't much he could remember but then again there was much he did. He could remember things such as he had a sister, he couldn't remember her name nor her face- he couldn't even remember his own name! but it didn't matter. He was Takahashi now, Hatake Takahashi.
He could remember English, maths… he could remember the things he had learned in his past life, the things he would have learned from experience or just sitting in the back of a classroom so the information of the subject he had taken were still at the back of his mind, the information he read and studied for class tests- subjects like Economics, business, biology etc.
He was glad he no longer had to sit in those biology classes, it was the only subject that had him thinking of jumping off a cliff. It all seemed easy, but he could barely remember the stupid long names they used.
Drawing… he remembered drawing and even painting, cars! Planes he remembered them all! But faces? People? He couldn't remember them at all, it was as though they never existed, and they were a fragment of his imagination…
It has only been nearly 2 years since he had woken up in this world, yet it felt less than that. It was as though time ran faster but then again; he couldn't fault time. Even though there was so little to do compared to his previous world- there was much to do. There was so much information he wanted to know. He wanted to know about this world, it was what kept him most of the time, it was what gave him something to do, it was practically a hobby to grab any book he saw, to ask every single question he had that would pop into mind.
This world before him was quite different from the one he had been used to. There was this mysterious thing called- an energy called chakra here. It was an energy that made people faster, stronger. This world never ceased to amaze him. The people here had strange markings on their faces, strange birthmarks, strange eye colours… strange hair- just like his own, silver? Really it was either a genetic mutation or it really was just how things were in this world, other people even had some strange… very strange features.
With how strange it all was, he was never put off by it, it was fascinating, it was great- it was a whole new adventure!
It wasn't long after he learned about this chakra, even watching his mother or even father use it that he began his own experimentation. He never used it whenever his parents were around, most of the time his father was away when he tried using it and when he did use it, he would usually wander outside onto the compound while his mother was inside. Sometimes when she was sleeping.
At first, he was confused as to what he was meant to be doing, what was he supposed to do to get this energy to work? It started off with meditation which led to a warmth bursting inside of him, engulfing him, it had felt strange but strangely comforting.
He found himself practising with paper. It was like from what he had read about the 'basics of chakra'. Although with using this energy, it was like his body couldn't handle it all, seeing as he would find himself near to passing out from exhaustion from using it.
It was a whole cycle, use chakra, then take a nap.
"Are you feeling sleepy again Aka-Chan?" his mother asked him, as he was struggling to keep his eyes open once again.
Lazily he turned his head to her and just grunted in response, too tired to even bother having to open his mouth to speak. He felt if he did, she wouldn't hear him and want him to repeat himself, he didn't feel like going through that. He let himself doze off again, closing his eyes and resting the backs of his head against the couch he was sitting on.
He heard a snort and just knew it was from his father. "I swear he sleeps at any given moment. I tried taking him to the park yesterday and instead of going exploring he to toddled over to a tree and slept! It was his first time so I thought he would be more curious" Sakumo spoke to his wife.
Rei in response let out a heartful laugh, "Leave my precious boy alone, babies sleep a lot and Sakumo… if you took him to the park yesterday the one near us, then it wasn't his first time, that would explain his disinterest. I took him about two weeks ago."
"Ah" he mused. "…Then I'll be the first to show him the view from the Hokage mountain" he more so said to himself, while Rei rolled her eyes.
