As Lex listened to the figure talk about Nexus, a place where he could hide from all forms of divination and tracing, he recalled what Vera had told him about the Nexus event. It was funny how the same thing represented two entirely different things to two people.
According to what Vera told him, a Nexus event was forthcoming in the near future, though no one knew the exact time and date of when a Nexus event would occur, nor could it be determined beforehand, it was a time of great significance.
During a Nexus event, destiny could be changed, oracles could see into the future without repercussion and they could even remove the punishments weighing them down from their previous attempts to look into the future.
The most important thing, at least for Vera and the other oracles, was that during a Nexus event many could change their fates. Lex personally did not feel too constricted by fate, but those who had foreseen their own fates seemed to fear it a whole lot.
