Yumi sat there facing Luna, who's currently chewing on the cookie shizuka brought for them. They're at shizuka' place, in her room. By the look on Luna' face, Yumi almost thought that this girl haven't seen a cookie before.
Luna eventually looks up when feeling Yumi stare at her. Luna blushed in embarrassment. "S...sorry. I got carried away." Luna said apologetically.
Yumi blinked. "What do you mean? Why are you apologising?" She asked.
"I almost ate your portion too." Luna said with her cheeks still red.
"Oh. I don't mind actually. You can have them if you want." Yumi said.
Luna tilted her head. "You don't want them? They're so good. You'll miss out." Luna said.
Yumi shrugged. "I eat cookies shizuka makes all the time. I love it but feel free to have them if you want." Yumi reassured.
Luna picks up a cookie and looks at it. "A cookie? Is that what you call this sweet thing?" Luna asked and Yumi was right to think that this girl is eating like it's her first time. It literally is.
"Wait a minute, you never seen or heard of a cookie before?" Yumi asked out loud.
Luna was once again felt embarrassed. She slowly nodded. "I never ate something as sweet as this before." She said.
Yumi blinked. "So in next two centuries, cookies becomes nonexistent?" Yumi asked still finding it hard to believe the whole time machine thing.
Luna shrugged. "I don't know. I'm from a less wealthy part of the city. I don't know if the rich people still have things like these. I don't know." Luna said and it was sad to hear.
"So our future is in drain it seems huh?" Yumi said.
Luna shook her head. "This century you're living in hasn't been turned into a hell like mine. You'll be fine." Luna said.
Yumi nodded. "I can't still believe that I'm talking to a time traveller. It feels like a dream." Yumi said.
"If you think about it, you've been around time travellers long before I got here, right?" Luna asked.
"They've never mentioned anything about it, until today. Time Travel feels so impossible to me. You can't blame me for calling it bullshit." Yumi said with a shrug.
Luna nodded. "I could only imagine how you feel. Because in my time, things like time machine become so normal." She said taking a bite of the cookie and moaning in delight. She blushed again when she realised how much of a strange noise she just made.
Yumi smirked. "You're fun to be around. Thanks to you I get to spend some time with shizuka without her getting attracted to that Nobita guy." Yumi said.
Luna nodded unable to understand her view on the boy with round glasses. She then thought of that bespectacled boy. His resemblance to someone she familiar with is frightening. She almost had a panic attack when seeing him.
Then the door opens and Shizuka walked in with a tray with three cup of tea.
"Hey, let's have some Tea." She said and Luna raised a brow.
"Tea?" Luna asked.
Shizuka looks at her confused. "Yeah? You don't like tea?" She asked.
"Um...I don't know. I never heard of a thing called tea before." Luna said.
Shizuka blinked and nodded. "Then I hope you'll like it." She said placing the tray on the floor.
Yumi took her cup immediately, followed by Shizuka. Luna looks at them and she slowly picks up the cup carefully since she could see the steam and knew it would be hot.
"You people have the best and beautiful kind of food. Like everything I ate so far felt more tastier than anything I had in my whole life." Luna said. "One could dream to be born in a time like this where you have nice people like you around and don't be afraid of losing your life." Luna said with a sad smile.
Shizuka and Yumi looks at this older girl showing sympathy. "I'm glad we could help you." Shizuka said with a warm smile.
"I don't understand, something." Luna said after few seconds of silence.
"What?" Yumi asked.
"I mean I'm not trying to sound rude. But aren't you guys being so nice to a stranger like me. Why would you care if I have to live in the pipe or the streets? You could just have ignored me, right?" Luna asked.
Shizuka shrugged. "We've been like this since childhood. We're taught to help others without wanting anything in return. And it's something we learnt from Nobita. He once raised a baby bird when it was unable to fly. I remember him thinking that it'll be with him forever. He wouldn't even come out to play because he was busy taking care of the bird. Doraemon then told us that Nobita released the bird knowing that, the bird belongs in the open and with it's kind. I think helping others makes us, happy." Shizuka said getting emotional.
Yumi heard that story before and Luna nodded. "I see." Luna said taking a sip from the cup and she looks at liquid stunned. "What is that flavour? It's so good." Luna squeaked.
"That my dear, what we call our energy drink." Yumi said.
"Wow." Luna said and slowly and carefully took sips.
Yumi then finally looks at Shizuka. "So? Start with the damn story." Yumi said.
"What?" Shizuka asked confused.
"You told me that you'll explain everything once we got here and no, I ain't taking no for an answer. I need explanation, now. Like how on earth I've been talking to bunch of time travellers and didn't know? I need the full story. No buts." Yumi said crossing her hands.
Shizuka sighed and nodded. "First of all, we didn't hid anything from you, okay? We didn't know how to explain everything to you. Seeing Luna today was like meeting Doraemon all over again. We're basically looking into future when you think about it." Shizuka said and Yumi sighed.
"Okay, I understand. Now, the story. With extra details and no, I don't mind how long it takes." Yumi demanded and Shizuka gulped.
Shizuka nodded and stood up and walked towards her closet.
"Where you going?" Yumi asked.
"I have something to show you guys." Shizuka said and she gone through many things and after two whole minutes of searching she looks at something which she was looking for.
"I found it. I knew it was here somewhere." Shizuka said and pulled out a thick book. She then walked back and sat in front of them and placed the book in front of them.
Yumi looks at the pink coloured book and looks at her. "I ain't gonna read all that." She said.
Shizuka chuckled. "It's a photo album." Shizuka said opening the book.
Yumi' eyes twinkled and immediately snatched the book and she turned the pages and she almost squealed when seeing a tiny young Shizuka. "You looked so cute." Yumi said showing her the picture.
Shizuka chuckled and blushed. "It was when I was in kindergarten. Momma took the photo. I don't quite remember what were we doing, though." Shizuka said and Luna got curious.
Both Yumi and Luna turned pages and chuckled each time seeing the tiny version of Shizuka doing random things. Yumi then placed book on the ground in the middle so the three of them could see the photos.
They turned few more pages until they saw a familiar face. Yumi laughed seeing another figure. "Is that foxy?" She asked seeing a tiny version of Suneo.
Shizuka chuckled and nodded. "Our parents knew each other for a while. It was a photo taken when we met at park." Shizuka explained.
"He used to look just like a fox, back then too, huh?" Yumi said and took out her phone and was going to take a picture but she looks at Shizuka for a confirmation. Shizuka nodded and Yumi immediately took a picture.
They turned the next page and Yumi blinked seeing another familiar face. "Gian?" She said blinking. "Is this dumpling looking kid, gian?" She asked amused.
"That's right. We all were in the same class back in the day too." She said.
They turned the pages seeing Shizuka in different places and dresses. Yumi commented that, Shizuka used to be doll. And Shizuka was blushing like crazy.
However they reached a page where they saw a photo with three people. Two kids sitting on the lap of a grandma. One kid was Shizuka. The other one had a cute smile and black neat, mushroom cut hair. Both kids looked adorable. And the grandma had this warm smile which melted their hearts.
"Who's this?" Yumi asked confused.
"Oh, I remember this photo." Shizuka said a bit sadly.
"What's wrong?" Luna asked concerned.
Shizuka shook her head. "This is the photo taken a week before Nobita' grandma passed away." Shizuka said and both girls are shocked to realise who are they looking at in the picture.
"He was really depressed back then. He wasn't even talking to any of us for a while. His grandma was so kind. I loved her. This picture was the last reminder of hers." Shizuka said.
Yumi looks at the grandma and then she looks at the boy. "This is glasses?" She asked shocked. This kid doesn't even look like the person she's familiar with.
Shizuka nodded. Yumi never seen this expression on his face before. His smile is so cute. She can't believe he could smile like this.
So this is the Nobita she heard of a lot? Because this little boy clearly has that friendly look they described. Yumi finally saw the actual Nobita. And it was strange. It's like she's looking at the entirely different person.
They turned few pages until the pictures changed to Shizuka being older. They then stopped at another group photo. It was taken in the playground. Nobita, shizuka, gian sat on the top pipe while Suneo was on the ground and with camera in his hand.
"Suneo took that photo when his uncle bought him a new one. He randomly told us about it and took the photo and just left after giving me the photo." Shizuka said.
"You guys look so different." Luna said. "Especially, him." She points at Nobita.
Nobita was wearing his usual yellow and blue outfit. He has a wide smile on his face and his round glasses looks so new.
Shizuka chuckled. "I know right. I still remember that day. Nobita thought he lost his glasses and he bought a new one. But his old one was in his backpack the whole time. So he had two pairs. It's a funny story." She said giggling.
Both girls found the story interesting and looks back at the picture. That boy looks nothing like how he's now. Yumi now can see why Shizuka and others described him the way they did. Because it's the truth. This is the actual Nobita Nobi. The Nobita she knows is just a shell of his former self.
They turned pages and this time they saw many pictures of Shizuka and gang going on hiking and beach. It was nothing short of an adventure book at this point.
Then that page arrived. The page where the two other girls ended up more shocked. With the group, there's a blue coloured something was with them. "What the hell is that?" Yumi almost shouted pointing at the picture.
"That's Doraemon. Like I said before. He's a cat robot from 22nd century." Shizuka explained.
"A cat robot? From the 22nd century? What the hell?" Yumi mumbled.
"Robots like these are on our history books. Never seen one like this. There's so little records on 22nd century bots. I think this Doraemon is a part of the first batch of models. Prototypes for short." Luna said.
"Dorami, said Doraemon was supposed to look yellow and had cat ears. While in production, the equipments malfunctioned. Doraemon was a failed robot." Shizuka said.
"Oh." Luna mumbled.
"Wait, hold on. Who's Dorami?" Yumi asked.
"Turn few more pages, you'll see her." Shizuka said.
Yumi turned few more pages until a picture of her and Dorami appeared. "Another robot?" Luna asked surprised.
"A teddy bear?" Yumi asked to herself.
"Dorami is Doraemon' little sister. She was made using the same oil and that's how they are related." Shizuka said.
Both girls looks at her stunned. "Does it talk?" Yumi asked.
Shizuka chuckled. "Dorami is girl. Call her a she, will ya. She have feelings just like us." Shizuka said.
"How?" Yumi asked.
"It's future we're talking about. Doraemon and Dorami is just like us. They have feelings. They could eat, sleep and feel pain. I wish you guys could meet them. But it's not possible anymore." Shizuka said sadly.
"Glasses called this Doraemon his brother when we were walking together. He bought a bag of dorayaki for some reason too. And he gave to me and walked away." Yumi said.
"Dorayaki was, Doraemon' favourite snack. I think Nobita accidentally bought it because of muscle memory. I think he still haven't recovered from Doraemon leaving." Shizuka said.
"Where did he go?" Yumi asked.
"Back to 22nd century. Back to Sewashi I think." Shizuka said.
"There's a lot of names I'm hearing. I think I am processing something. At least." Yumi said. "Basically I'm sitting between two time travellers who had two robot friends and then I'm hearing tone of new names which I don't know what's the role in the lore." Yumi said.
