(I've said this before(I think), but this story will have spoilers for different manga, and right now it will for Jujutsu Kaisen to an extent, so read at your own discretion.)
Month Later
It's been a month since my meeting with Todo, and we've hung out during this time, not fighting like when we first met though, both of us coming to a consensus to save it for the exchange event. Also, surprisingly but unsurprisingly, the school is actually relatively normal when it comes to classes, but imagine with as much freedom as you can, since we can skip most classes except Jujutsu related ones. But anyways, I've started regularly feeding my little parasites which I'm proud of.
"Not something to be proud of!"Venom yells.
"Nor are we parasites! We're Klyntar!"Carnage followed up.
'Potato, potahto.'I responded before blocking them off as I can already imagine the raving. Thinking back to the plot of jujutsu Kaisen, I remember that it should be around now Mahito starts brainwashing Junpei. I decide to intervene since it would be best if I could get another major player of the Shibuya arc off the board.
Pulling out my phone I text Gojo, changing the atmosphere seemed to have given me access to this world through my phone.
Sakuta:"Hey, is Yuji out on a mission with Nanami right now?"I asked straight foward.
Gojo:"Yeah, I'm assuming it's related to the future?"He asked back.
Sakuta:"Yeah, there's going to be a cursed spirit who's rather annoying to deal with honestly. I'd like if you'd watch from a distance but not intervene if necessary."I replied, and after a few seconds he texted something back.
Gojo:"Alright, they should be at a movie theaters right now, I'll send you the location."
Sakuta:"No, if they're only at the the movie theaters now, it's better if I don't intervene yet, or maybe at all."
Gojo:"Why???"
Sakuta:"Cause if it goes as expected, then he'll lead us to other important curses to the future."
Gojo:"Alright."He texted simply.
That night, I decide to track Junpei's house down and get the cursed finger there since one more for us and his mom won't have to needlessly die. Easily getting his information through Ijichi, I fly on to their balcony just in time to see a cursed spirit appearing. Rushing through the pane of glass easily I have my hand covered in black goo turn into a scythe before using it to cut the curse in half, killing it.
"Who are you?!"She screams and couldn't see my face fully from a black mask covering the bottom part.
"Your savior, and sorry about the damage, but I'm sure you can pay for it, for now though, I'll take this, and hope you never see me again."I say taking the finger and leaving.
Getting back to the school, I look around for Gojo, but finding him, he looked disturbed? He's just normally so happy but now he seemed, weird.
"Hey Gojo, what happened?"I asked walking up to him, and noticing me, he seemed more, whatever the fuck he is right now.
"Did you know?"He asked.
"Know what?"I asked back, confused.
"That Nanami would die."He said, and to say I was shocked was an understatement, and I was a big over-thinker in my past life, so you can imagine now.
'What?! How?! He was supposed to get out alive, what went wrong?!... Wait, backtrack, our first mission, it showed that the world was slightly AU, of course I payed it no mind since I was to busy with the mission itself and my self-wallowing, but I should've payed more attention damnit! If I payed attention I would've realized that this world may have been AU and wouldn't have taken any chances, and now what else is different? Fuck, I could've sent Nanami to a maybe god-like Mahito with his true form and a mastered Domain Expansion and maybe even more that wad never shown in the manga since he died.'I thought, and would've kept going if Gojo didn't shake me outta it.
"Sakuta! Did you know?!"He asked, almost desperately.
"N-no, but I practically did send him to his death."I said, and I did basically, I let a first-grade Jujutsu Sorcerer fight a Special-grade curse spirit, confident that it would go like cannon.
"What do you mean?"
"The curse spirit him and Yuji were following up on? Name is Mahito, born from the hate between people, and a special-grade."I said looking down at the end, and I noticed his fist trembling.
"...How did it go originally?"He asked eventually.
"He got out with only a side wound."I answered, and he kept his hand balled in a fist still trembling before he eventually relaxed his hand. He started walking off, but I knew what he was going to do and got in front of him.
"Gojo, no."
"Why? He's a curse, I have to exorcise him."He said simply and he was right, but...
"...I want to do it myself, also I'm sorry for what I'm about to say, but I don't have a bleeding heart, and I didn't know him personally, so normally I would let you go and care but not to a an extent, but his death is on my carelessness, I got so wrapped up in my fun bubble I didn't take different things into account, so I have to be the one to exorcise him, I at least owe Nanami that much, and I don't want his death constantly weighing down on me."I explained to him, and after a while of contemplation he talks again.
"Are you confident in beating him?"
"Yes, and no."I said with a slight chuckle, but it was empty.
"...Fine, but I don't want to lose another person."He eventually agreed.
"Don't worry! I have infinity, remember?"I said with a small grin, and eventually he grinned back.
"You have a plan or something?"Gojo asked curiously.
"Something."
