A few blocks away a little child wandered off onto the streets. Completely unaware that the light had been switched to red abruptly. Moreover the little child also didn't notice the black shadow that seemed to be silently approaching her from the side.
The little girl caught onto the sound of a low growl and turned to look when her eyes went wide and fear gripped the whole of her body. Her body stood frozen in place and her eyes were glued to the black shadow. Her mind raced and she was scared but she couldn't move nor open her mouth!
The little girl's mother who was talking on the phone also happened to see the black shadow and the phone slipped from her hands. Out of instinct her legs moved towards her daughter. "Kayla! Move!"
The mother was terrified as she saw the black shadow creeping closer to her daughter by the second. She felt helpless as she ran but deep within her heart she knew she wouldn't make it. Despite all that she ran as fast as she could towards her daughter.
