"Let's go home," Lia said once she was back with her siblings.
They looked at her, an uneasy wave hitting them. There was something else, but they were sure what it was. Lex looked at Lia, wondering what it was she and her brother had stalked about for Lia to be that anxious.
Was there something they didn't know of?
"What did he say to you? What did he do Beth? Wait, what did you do to him that got you like this?" Nik asked, as he looked at Lia's teary eyes.
Goodbyes weren't supposed to be this hard, and while he understood her, he couldn't help but think there was something more. Amelia James never let herself be teary, unless she had to do something she never wanted to do.
What was it this time?
Did she kill Alex?
"Don't tell me you killed him," Carl said and Lex got up and rushed to her brother's room. She didn't even wait for Lia to confirm it, because if she had killed her twin, then Lex would take her life in exchange for her brother's.
