The things I had worried about had been handled, thus, all that was left was to truly enjoy the festivities. It may have proven a challenge, but that was the least of my worries.
We'd return to our table, Stella unsure of how to feel, or so it seemed. Perhaps her expectations were not met, or perhaps they were subverted, who to tell really. One thing was for sure, she was a tad bit happy, even a slight smile on her face said as much.
There were more problems to be though, as it looked like a relatively troublesome conversation was underway. The colors they let off, that of confusion and frustration.
Yet, there was happiness there, that of novelty it would seem. As lost as they were, they were enjoying themselves. Until I arrived.
