As Orion was going through a whirlwind of emotions, Leiza got out of her stupor and spoke as she reached out to Orion's hand, her voice turned soft. "I'm sorry that I acted harshly toward you earlier. Truth to be told, I was always guilty that you didn't have a father you could spend time with, and so, I just spoiled you with materialistic things. I should have spent more time with you instead. But when I realized my fault, to make sure you don't get in trouble and not regret my own actions, I had to implant the neural chip in your head to track you down and control your movements, if necessary. And today, when your father has returned, I wanted to show him that I raised you well in his absence. But when I see that I didn't, to cover up my own mistake again, I acted on you, again. I'm sorry."
Orion's face remained unreadable as he stared at his mother. Tears almost welled up in his eyes, listening to her heartfelt apology.
