Chapter 4 - The Shark vs The Beast

The family gathers in the dining room to discuss Kazunai's recent out falling with The White Tiger Mob...the tension in the air so thick it could be cut with a knife, Kimara's Glassfang ocelot,a cat with translucent crystalline fur, strolled back and further around the dining room rubbing againts everyone's leg but the one person who was the most heated in the room, Kaz.

"I'm gonna kill them...all of them!! " shouts Kaz throwing the dining table into the wall " at least you kept your cool in front of amy , wouldn't want you scaring the girl off now would we" sighs Seamus, "Father control that brat" sighs Jamie

"He's over reacting , first it was his face ,now he's gone all feral over a stupid car" says Vali "call my car stupid one more time and I'll break your face" growls kaz "or you'll what??" asks vali ,"cool it you two " says uncle Sean sternly "we can't have you two fighting at a time like this" says seamus "he started it" says kaz "and I was just about to end it too" says vali

Seamus walks over and places his right hand on kazunai's shoulder "I know your beef with those guys goes way back kid ,we all want a piece of those assholes believe me, but 10 years ago when we went up it did not go so pretty for us, I'm not sure this is a fight a we really needright now" He says ,kaz grits his teeth in frustration "10 years ago I was still a kid" kaz retorted, furious at fact that his father refuses to take action against their enemies , "what you need to learn is self control" says jamie "I don't need a lecture from you asshole" says Kaz glaring at jamie

"Now kaz he's your older brother you should respect him" says uncle sean ,Seamus sighs and stares at only his daughter hoping she could convince her brother to not act reckless

Mara sits quietly, her eyes low, hands folded in her lap. The whole room seems to lean toward her silence, waiting.

"Kaz," she finally says picking up her ocelot named silver and stroking her fur, her voice soft but clear. "I get it. I really do. They destroyed your car, ruined your date with Amy. They've humiliated you—again. But going off half-cocked isn't going to fix it. It's exactly what they want. You know that, right?"

Kazunai doesn't answer at first, the intense flame of rage still burning in his heart. His chest rises and falls with each heavy breath, fury still burning hot in his eyes. But mara's words wedge themselves into his mind like a cold wind cutting through fire.

He turns away, fists clenched so tight his knuckles crack. "Those assholes don't get to walk away from this," he mutters. "Not again."

"They won't, you know we'd never let that happen" mara says, a little firmer now. "But if we're going to go after them, we do it smart. We don't stoop to their level. We destroy them the right way."

"She's right kid, and I know you know it" Seamus adds, stepping back beside Sean. "Revenge is loud, but justice? Justice is surgical. And you know what kind of tools we keep in this family."

Vali scoffs. "Oh great, now it's a damn family therapy session."

"Shut up, Vali," mara snaps, shooting her older brother a glare.

Jamie folds his arms. "We all want payback. But the last time you ran off on your own, Kaz, we spent two weeks cleaning up the mess. Remember that warehouse fire? Or are you too busy polishing your damn stupid ego to care?"

Kaz's eyes flash. "That wasn't my fault and you know it."

"Then prove it," Jamie challenges. "Use that rage for something useful. Help us plan something that actually sticks, not just a kids dumb ignorant outburst."

For a moment, the room is still. Tense. Thick with grudges and years of unresolved blood. Kazunai looks from face to face—his brother's glare, his sister's plea, his father's warning, his uncle's steady gaze.

Then he exhales, slow and long. "Fine," he says through gritted teeth. "We do it your way. But if anyone lays a finger on Amy… I'm burning them to ash."

Mara smiles faintly. "I'd expect nothing less."

Sean claps his hands once. "Alright. Family meeting adjourned and someone pick that damn table up."

Vali groans. "Why is it always me?"

Jamie smirks. "Because you're the one dumb enough to mouth off first."

As everyone moves to reset the room, Kaz stays still, jaw tight. His fury hasn't cooled—it's just caged for now.

And the White Tiger Mob? They had no idea what storm they'd just stepped into.

Later that night, Kazunai retreated to his room, the silence a sharp contrast to the chaos downstairs. The door slammed behind him, rattling the frame, but he didn't care. His hands were still shaking—not with fear, but with leftover rage that refused to die down.

He stood in the middle of the room for a long moment, staring at the dented metal bat leaning against his dresser. He'd wanted to use it tonight. He needed to use it. But they'd all talked him down… especially Amy.

With a heavy sigh, he collapsed onto his bed, pulling out his phone. The cracked screen lit up, and after a few seconds of staring at her contact, he opened their thread.

Kaz: sorry about earlier princess.

He stared at it. Not enough.

Kaz: I ruined our night. I didn't mean to snap like that.

Still not enough. He ran a hand through his hair, teeth clenched.

Kaz: You looked really pretty. I should've just told you that instead of those bastards any mind.

He hesitated, then hit send before he could overthink it.

A few seconds passed.

Then his screen lit up.

Amy: Took you long enough, dumbass. Who about we try again tomorrow cutie?

A faint smile tugged at his lips.

Kaz: You bet.
