Travis stared at the sundial. Pacing in a circle he watched as it basically told him he was in the correct spot. Yet around him was nothing, just a hilly area with dying grass.
Averoth crouched at a spot and made a strange expression, "Looks like you'll have to dig down."
"Or go up.", Travis looked towards the empty sky, "It's the last light, often times light is associated with the sky."
"Very good, it seems your understanding is deepening. Up we go."
Pulling out a bundle of food Travis fed his mount. Looking upwards he spoke to himself, "A floating island?"
"More specifically the fragments of this world's Origin can't ever reconnect with this planet. Not unless that prophecy is fulfilled. More importantly the fragments are dangerous to navigate. They usually are coursing with a strange energy. Very vicious stuff."
"You've come across such things before?", Travis shielded his eyes to try to see better.
