A campfire crackled as a tantalizing smell wafted over the group. Sitting around the campfire was Mira, Givale, Basil, and Whisk. Cuts of the deer-like creature roasted slowly. The aroma was so pleasant that the twins found themselves almost drooling.
Mira looked upwards, the night sky and moon dotting the sky. A bit of doubt crept over him, "Would 'Mother' appear since we're cooking fresh meat?"
Basil and Whisk spoke in tandem, ""No.""
"Why not?"
Whisk answered, "Mother only cares when a life is taken. You killed this creature outside. Mother won't peer at us."
"Is that so?", Mira felt a bit disappointed but also felt a touch of relief.
Basil tilted his head, "Do you want to meet Mother?"
Givale immediately answered, "No!"
Yet Mira found his words being caught in his throat. All three's attention was on him as they awaited his answer. A bit of concern formed on Givale's face as she asked, "Mira?"
