April in Zhang Town was gentle, with a perfect breeze.
Xiao Linsu moved a box of books in through the back door of the store, a thin layer of sweat on his forehead.
The coffee shop barista, a handsome young man named Guang Ping, said, "Brother Xiao, a customer has been waiting outside for you for a long time."
"Who?" Linsu placed the box down, took a book out, unwrapped it, and flipped through it in his hands.
"She said her last name is Jiang."
The book in his hands slipped a few pages, and he paused slightly.
"What's wrong, Brother Xiao?"
A faint smile appeared in his eyes, "Please ask her to come upstairs."
"Okay."
Jiang Wei'er had arrived at three in the afternoon and had been waiting in the shop for an hour. Like many other customers there, she ordered a coffee, picked a book she liked from the shelf, and sat for a long time.
She was led to the second floor where there were no other customers, just a table by the window with two rattan chairs.
