Yukie cautiously opened the door and looked around to make sure no one was in the living room before hurriedly heading upstairs to her room, always treading lightly as if afraid of disturbing someone.
Adrian's car was parked outside; she couldn't have missed it when she came in, especially since he had called earlier to ask everyone at home to leave temporarily. If it weren't for the fact that she absolutely needed her script and thesis that afternoon, Yukie would never have come back at this time.
