"Meimei might seem a bit fierce on the surface, but that's just a mask she wears to protect herself. In private, she's actually quite gentle," Wang Tong said.
"Still calling her Meimei... look at you, completely lovestruck." Ye Xiong cringed, getting goosebumps. It hadn't been long at all, yet the two of them were already so chummy.
"I used to call her that when we were little," Wang Tong explained.
"When you were little?"
"The first time I saw her, I thought she looked familiar. After we chatted, it turned out we grew up in the same village and even lived next door to each other. Back then, she always had a runny nose and followed me around like a little tagalong."
