Chapter 117 - Tifa, Quistis & Dark Samus Interlude

"So all of them are you. But not like how you are in every World? So weird. You are connected to all of them at once to?"

"Yes, Tifa." Azul found it weird she just kept asking the same questions. She also was giving off weird vibes.

"I think it's cool. To bad you have to lose it. Can you buy it from the shop?

"No. It is one of the banned powers. Along with some others. Only those originally born with it, have it. Companions cant be pulled if they have that ability. If a follower is obtained with it, it is barely allowed and becomes weaker." Azul said. Considering how it would cause a User to loose sight of the goals it made sense. No Growth with others if you are a one person army. "Is this really what you want to talk about?"

"Yes.. well no." Tifa frowned. "Are you really gonna part with Galtea?"

"Yes."

"Can I convince you not to?"

"Why would you want to?" Azul frowned. He did not expect this. He was wanting to talk about how she had been. As well as any new fighting moves she learned.

"I dont know. Just feel like I should."

"Tifa, where I went to, was worst than Warhammer. Sentinels took over killing the majority of the mutant population. Even humans that had a high chance of passing on the gene, were killed. It just wanted to eradicate everything."

"I want you to show me."

"I rather not. It will break you."

"How do you know that?

"Because it broke me.

"What?"

"Tifa I ripped the Sentinels apart. For an entire year that is all I did. It took me that long to calm down. In fact, I needed help to do so." Azul said grabbing her waist and sitting up. "I could have save a lot more people. But I didnt. All I cared about was hurting something, anything I could get my hands on. I loved it. Every bit of it."

"Thats... "

"If it wasn't for the fact I came across a mutant trying her hardest to defend some people. I dont know what I would have done. I might have kept destroying the sentinels."

"But this person helped you?"

"Not intentionally. Her passion to save them, hit me harder than the pain I was feeling. Harder than the biotic strands in the area. Trust me, the misery, it was abundant. Just fear and pain as well. Despair at its rawest." Azul couldn't help but dive into the feeling slightly. With a thought, it vanished. "The World was a mess."

"So is she one of the woman you brought back?" Tifa had a smile on her lips. "The one called Psychlock you said. I want to fight her."

"No. She was just a friend Tifa. She died in my arms while I was in a haze. I couldn't heal her. Not with out causing problems to who she was. Which she did not want to happen." Azul smiled. "Hehe, you jealous?" She nodded yes. "The only ones I brought back technically are Psylocke and Emma. The rest are part of the team that helped me take down the sentinels. I don't think either will stay anyway."

"Pity. Her eyes are like the Ardat Yakshi."

"Hmm yes, they are." Azul agreed. "As his eyes became dazed, Tifa walked over and pushed him down. "What gives?"

"Do not do that again. I am sorry I sided with Galtea on that. Just thought.. I thought it wouldn't be that bad." Tifa's eyes started to get misty. "When you left I went to fight in some places. I almost died a few times. Hehehe, now that I think about it.." Tifa sat her head up to look into his eyes. ".. it was exhilarating but stupid. I came back and went to the mausoleum. I saw everything at work."

"Sorry about that."

"It is fine. It strengthened my resolve. All those dead inside were caused by that man. I went through each of the memory shards that floated." Tifa's hand tightened on his chest. "I felt it. Everything you felt when they died. The bonds you forced yourself to sever. You shouldn't be able to function. I know I couldnt."

"It will be ok." Azul just rubbed her back gently. "I had everyone to keep me going. My "Pillars" of support."

"We will stop Indigo. I promise. When this is over, the pieces will be many to pick up." Tifa barely kept her tears together as she remembered the final battle from Riku's memories. "So many enemies. We will be ready!"

"We will. I promise." Azul said lowly. He pulled her head closer and wrapped her in his power. "I will make sure of it." For the last few hours, they laid in silence.

.

-Samus & Azul-

.

"So I missed a lot of fun." Dark Samus said moving around as they fought. "Damn shame."

"Heh, it was not fun. I gave in to my base desires and killed until I had control again. If not for Skarlet and Bass, I might still be killing till the place blew up. Hilda and Onyx were seperated from me at one point. Glad they had no problems. they kept me grounded surprisingly easy."

"I want to come next time you go to a place like that." Samus ducked under a left hook. She sent a jab to his exposed area. It was blocked by Azul's raised knee. "Tch, you have gotten even better. The gap is larger."

"Hmm, you have improved as well. Your natural energy is even stronger." Azul stepped back seeing her stop. "I can teach you a new martial art if you like?"

"Oh, a new martial art?" Samus was intrigued. "None of the others know it?"

"No. I pulled it recently. So it will be just you for now."

"Keep it for me only. I need an edge against the others."

"What, why?"

"I do not get along with them. Most of them are goody two shoes. Lettie and Alita are about the only ones I get along with to the point I would die for them. I can't play nice with the others for the most part. Especially after the ones who agreed with Galtea." Dark Samus looked at him intently. "The Thessia sisters are a different matter. They see me as prey. I do not like it. So I limit our talks. But I can't help but be fascinated with them."

"Hmm, I will create an honor guard for you. Dedicated personnel with similar personalities. That should help."

"Thanks." Samus looked at the ground with a little fidget in her arms. "You can not die! I will not allow it!" She looked at Azul with a burning gaze as their bond strengthen. With a final thought, she released the seal. "You are my User till the day I die. You understand?!"

"I.. shit. I understand." Azul was suprised. The memories were something very intense. Samus spent every last point she could on getting stronger. Accept it was always with him. They went to every World they could be bounty hunters together. Partners till the very end. A few deaths a lot of close calls. "You have me, my Dark Samus. For better or worse." Samus stepped forward and collapsed into him. A clear Soul Power radiating off of her.

"Good. I will return to your Nether World heart. And continue to guard it for eternity." Samus was tired. Very sleepy. "I like it there. Coming out every now and then is ok. But I like it better there."

"Very well. But for now, we relax. I want to show you something." With a shift, Azul shifted them to a corner of his Nether World that only the one User had been to. The room with a mental version of him talking to the Operator Mira. The mental version of Azul and the clone touched for a brief second before pulling apart. The mental walked over to Samus and picked her up before retreating into a chamber of light.

"I am glad she was chosen." Mira said. "How are you doing?"

"Haha, long story." Azul said. "We should get some tea first."

.

Quistis Final Fantasy VIII Connection to the Nether World-

.

Azul was holding a baby boy and baby girl. The first of many kids the way he looked at several messages in his inbox. He made it to the delivery and received quite a few words from Quistis. Not any worth repeating. She refused any medication and wanted a natural birth.

The dumbest thing she ever did. Her words, Not his.

"You want to give them something from your original name?" Quistis asked. She laid against the pillow staring at Azul. Watching every detail of his facial expression. 'The look he had when we first got togethor. I am happy this all happened.'

"No. My name is Azul now. So that is what matters name wise." His son started to fuss so he placed him with Quistis. "You name one and I will name another."

"Hmmm, Satian." Quistis mumbled. "A good name for him." She leaned back further into the pillow. Kos-Mos came over, taking the baby very protectively. Setting him in a crib nearby as she stood watch over him.

T-elos eyes sparkled looking at Azul and the baby girl. For a fleeting second, she thought of kidnapping them both to go far away. But it was just a guilty pleasure she tucked away. Azul handed her the baby girl and stared deep into her eyes.

"Always remember to protect yourself and her." His voice was both a command and a request. Both she would obey. "Protect Aelos if we are unable." Azul moved over and held Quistis's hand as she slept.

T-elos placed the baby in another crib unable to understand what she was feeling. The name was not lost on her and she felt the change in her screen.

Screen: T-elos Lunastrider Level 76 Bodyguard

Specialty: Bodyguard V, Demolition, Assault, Infiltration,....

Status: Contemplative. Azul Eternal Bond, Quistis Unbreakable Bond, Kos-Mos Soul Bond, Aelos Devoted Bond

'I will make sure no one ever hurts her.' With a strong resolve, she closed her eyes thinking of the future. A lot of would-be kidnappers would have a very bad day. Which would have a very strong change in Kos-Mos and Satian in the future.

"Mmm, next time, drugs." Quistis mumbled. Her hand gripping Azul tightly. "You better be around when I wake up."

"Of course." Azul answered. He was looking at a part of his screen. 'What the hell am I gonna do about this?'

Creator: Nothing. They have a HomeWorld Azul. Final Fantasy VIII. Even if it is destroyed, your Nether World will pull them to you once. They are Users and have a much brighter future if you let them.

'I would not stand in their way of course. However, that is when they become adults. I will treat the process of becoming Users like that of going to College.' Thinking about it, he corrected himself. 'Upper college or 21. I will not let them Rift on their own. Even if they grow to hate me.'

Creator: Of course. I will make sure of it. Just steel yourself for the future.

The Creator's voice disappeared. Azul felt the pain was less than before but still painful somewhat. But more because he could feel the Biotic Strands from the voice. It was worried. Which meant bad news.

'Haaa, the War. Should I join it?' Thinking about it, he realized no. Nothing in it was for him and he would be picking fight with Users for no real reason. But then a few instances popped up. 'They did attack a few of the places I reside in. But I have taken care of them immediately after. So that would be a shitty thing to do. Haaa, I need to have a talk with Mira, Hilda, and Lluvia about this.'
