Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

Rogue felt the rush.

It was exhilarating.

For the first time in her life, she felt unstoppable.

The enemy that would have crushed her just a week ago?

Now, he was nothing more than a bumbling child.

The hero she once thought was impressive?

Now, through her new eyes, he seemed slow. Weak.

It was almost laughable.

But then—

She remembered Naruto's words.

"My power is vast, but it has a price. It can cloud your mind, make you feel invincible, and that—

that is when you become vulnerable."

He had warned her.

Power came with arrogance.

And arrogance led to downfall.

So Rogue focused.

She pushed aside the intoxicating thrill of absolute power and stayed sharp.

"IT HURTS!"

Rhino screamed, clutching his shattered jaw in agony.

He had been sent flying again, but this time—

This time, he was actually injured.

And he knew it.

The fear in his eyes betrayed him.

For the first time, he wasn't just angry—

He was terrified.

Because when he looked at Rogue, he didn't see a hero.

He saw a predator.

Those eyes—

They carried no mercy.

"Hey, hey, stop!"

Peter intervened, stepping between them.

"That's enough! The big guy's already down for the count."

He shot out his sticky webs, pinning Rhino down to keep him from escaping.

Rogue looked at Peter.

Then at Rhino.

And suddenly, she understood something fundamental.

Peter was strong.

The X-Men were strong.

The Avengers were strong.

But—

The system was weak.

They could beat the villains, but the world never dealt with them properly.

Naruto had mentioned this once.

How the heroes fought so hard, only for the villains to escape time and time again.

And if she let Rhino go like this?

He would just come back.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Until someday, he killed someone she cared about.

She wasn't going to let that happen.

"Okay, I'm done."

Rogue vanished—only to reappear behind Rhino.

Before Peter could react, she tapped his head.

A seal formed on his skin, glowing faintly before fading into nothing.

Then, she leaned in—

And whispered,

"Do anything evil… and you will understand true pain."

And just like that—

She was gone.

Peter sighed, rubbing his temples.

"I am really starting to hate speedsters."

He walked over to Rhino, webbing him up even more just in case.

"Okay, big guy, you're going to jail."

He patted Rhino's shoulder, speaking with mock sympathy.

"And since that chick might have just cursed you with some magic mojo, I'd say now's a good time to reconsider your life choices."

Rhino grumbled, still too dazed to reply.

Peter sighed.

He had no idea what kind of seal Rogue had placed on him…

But if he had learned anything from Naruto's existence—

It was probably something terrifying.

As the authorities finally arrived, Peter turned and swung away into the city.

This was going to be a long week.

Deep underground, beneath the frozen peaks of the snowy mountains, a secret facility stood.

A prison, designed to hold the worst of the worst—

A place where monsters were caged.

And inside, locked away in a liquid metal stasis chamber, was a man who feared nothing.

A force of destruction given form.

A living disaster.

He was Cain Marko.

The Juggernaut.

Wanda and Pietro stood before his prison, watching the hulking figure remain motionless inside.

The facility was well-built, reinforced with adamantium walls, equipped with power-dampening fields.

But—

None of that mattered.

Because no prison could hold Juggernaut forever.

It was only a matter of time.

"Juggernaut, your dear brother Charles has been living the dream."

Pietro's voice was mocking, dripping with sarcasm as he watched the massive man inside.

"Rich, powerful… free."

He smirked.

"Too bad his stepbrother is nothing more than a caged animal."

For the first time in months, Juggernaut's eyes twitched.

For months, Juggernaut had been trapped.

For months, he had been unable to move.

His strength, his rage, his unstoppable force—all of it had been sealed away.

Not by metal.

Not by science.

But by something far stronger.

Something beyond mortal understanding.

"Tch," Pietro muttered as he observed the weakening restraints.

"Looks like your master didn't like how you've been using his power, huh?"

Cain growled, his teeth grinding against each other.

He knew exactly what Pietro meant.

His power came from Cyttorak, the ancient entity that made him the Avatar of Destruction.

But Cyttorak was a fickle immortal.

A immortal that demanded carnage.

And for too long, Cain had been a caged beast, unable to wreak havoc.

Cyttorak's blessing had begun to fade.

The words dug into his mind—

Like a poison seeping into his very soul.

His body, once paralyzed, tensed.

His blood boiled.

That smug bastard, Charles—

Living his best life.

While he rotted in a hole.

The liquid metal prison around him shook.

Then cracked.

Then—

It shattered.

Cain let out a thunderous roar, flexing his titanic muscles as his body expanded.

His crimson armor materialized from thin air, covering him in an indestructible shell.

His eyes burned with rage.

"WHERE. IS. HE?!"

Wanda, unfazed, simply shrugged.

"Same place as always."

That was all Cain needed to hear.

He turned—

And charged.

Like a human missile, he plowed through the facility walls.

Through steel, through concrete, through adamantium plating—

Nothing could stop him.

Nothing ever did.

Pietro smirked, watching the trail of destruction left behind.

"I'll keep an eye on him," he muttered before vanishing in a blur.

He wanted to see it.

He wanted to see how the blonde bastard—

Naruto Uzumaki—

Was going to handle this.

The night sky stretched endlessly above them, a vast ocean of stars twinkling like distant lanterns. A gentle breeze whispered through the heavens, carrying the faint scent of sakura blossoms—a trace of Naruto's home, preserved even in this new world.

High above the clouds, on a floating platform carved from pure chakra, Naruto and Hinata sat together, their bodies intertwined beneath the soft glow of the moon. The world below was quiet, distant, as if it did not exist in this moment.

Naruto held her close, his arms wrapped around her delicate frame as she sat comfortably in his lap. A warm smile adorned his face as he fed her a piece of fruit—not with his hands, but with his lips.

Hinata's cheeks flushed, but she eagerly leaned in, accepting his offering. Their lips met, sharing both the sweetness of the fruit and the passion that burned between them.

A soft giggle escaped her as she pulled away. "You're so eager tonight."

Naruto chuckled, brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Can you blame me? I finally have time for you."

Hinata's heart fluttered at his words. Even after all these years, even after the countless battles and responsibilities that came with being an Emperor, his love for her never wavered.

If anything, it had only grown stronger.

Her body knew it too—Naruto's insatiable nature left her breathless, trembling, and utterly spent every time. But she never complained.

She loved him.

And she loved being loved by him.

As they continued their intimate dinner, a shift in the air caught Naruto's attention. He wasn't surprised—he had already sensed the disturbance long before it could reach them.

From deep within his soul, Kurama's voice rumbled, a mixture of annoyance and excitement.

"Naruto, a threat is moving towards the people."

Hinata looked up at Naruto, sensing the sudden tension in his body.

"I know," Naruto replied, his fingers lazily tracing circles on Hinata's bare shoulder. His expression, however, remained calm—bored, even.

Kurama grinned, his massive fangs gleaming in the moonlight. "Let me handle it. It's been too long since I fought with my own body."

Naruto smirked at his partner's enthusiasm. "Go have fun."

With a pulse of chakra, a portal tore open in the sky, swirling like a vortex of endless possibilities. Kurama's titanic form stepped through, his tails flicking with anticipation.

Elsewhere, on a desolate world of endless sand dunes, a portal suddenly tore open, spilling golden light across the barren landscape.

From it, Cain Marko—the Juggernaut—stumbled forward, confusion flashing across his brutish face. His unstoppable charge had been redirected, and now he found himself in a place that was not Earth.

A split second later, another figure descended from the sky—The Sentry, his golden aura blazing like the sun. His expression was one of caution, sensing something powerful nearby.

Then the ground rumbled.

A shadow fell over them, stretching for miles.

Kurama had arrived.

The great Nine-Tailed Fox, standing taller than mountains, his eyes glowing with an ancient, untamed power.

"Welcome to your battlefield," the beast growled, his voice making the very air quake. His tails lashed behind him, kicking up hurricanes of sand. "Let's see if you're worthy of the fight you so desperately seek."

Naruto leaned back against the smooth surface of their floating haven, his arms wrapped securely around Hinata's waist as they gazed at the spectacle through a floating chakra mirror.

Hinata rested her head against his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart.

Naruto smirked, watching the battle unfold in the distance. "A beauty in my arms and a battle to spectate… Now this—" he tightened his grip around her and placed a teasing kiss on her bare shoulder— "is the life."

The evening sky was a canvas of deep blues and purples, streaked with the last traces of sunlight as the chilly winds howled through the towering skyline of New York City. Below, the world continued its usual bustle, unaware of the storm that had arrived at Stark Tower.

A sudden, thunderous explosion shattered the peace.

The top gate of the tower was ripped apart as if it were made of paper, sending metal debris flying in all directions. Alarm systems blared instantly, and Stark's security drones swarmed toward the intruder.

But they were nothing to him.

With a simple flick of his fingers, Magneto turned the drones' own metal bodies against them, sending them hurtling back into the building. The resulting impact shook the tower, sending cracks through the reinforced structure as pieces of metal and glass rained onto the city below.

Standing amidst the destruction, Magneto remained poised, his cape fluttering in the wind as he gazed at the chaos with complete indifference.

From inside the tower, Tony Stark's voice rang out, filled with annoyance rather than fear.

"Why are you here? No, what are you doing?"

The billionaire genius emerged from the wreckage, his red and gold Iron Man suit gleaming under the artificial lights. This wasn't just any armor—it had been designed specifically to counteract Magneto's abilities.

Magneto turned his attention toward him, smiling with amusement. "I am here to play with you children, is that so wrong?"

Before Tony could react, Magneto simply gestured, and a sudden, unseen force grabbed hold of him.

Like a ragdoll, Iron Man was flung backward, crashing into the interior walls of the tower with enough force to leave a dent in the reinforced steel.

Stark gritted his teeth, his HUD flickering for a moment as his systems recalibrated. "You know, for an old guy, you're really obnoxious," he muttered as he pulled himself out of the wall.

But he wasn't just mad—he was analyzing.

This attack didn't make sense.

Why is Magneto here? He's too smart to just pick a fight without a reason...

Tony's eyes narrowed as he accessed the satellite feed, scanning the city for any other unusual activity. It only took a moment for him to find it.

A massive figure, clad in crimson armor, was tearing through the streets like a wrecking ball, heading straight for the city.

"Juggernaut."

Tony's mind raced. This wasn't just a random attack. Magneto was keeping them busy—and that meant something far bigger was happening elsewhere.

He needed backup.

Tony immediately opened comms.

"Sentry, can you handle this?"

On the other end, the golden titan of the Avengers responded, his voice steady and calm. "On it. Deal with Magneto or I'll be back soon."

Tony cut the link just as he saw a green blur leap into the air.

With a ground-shaking roar, The Hulk came crashing down upon Magneto, fists ready to flatten the mutant leader.

But Magneto simply raised his hand.

A powerful magnetic barrier formed just in time, stopping Hulk's colossal punch mid-air. The sheer force of the impact sent shockwaves through the sky, but Magneto didn't budge.

Instead, he simply smirked.

"I Will Not Allow You to Intervene."

Magneto floated slightly higher, addressing the Avengers below.

"I will not allow you to intervene, children." His voice was smooth, yet commanding. His eyes held undeniable certainty, as if his victory was already assured.

He gestured once more, and the very metal within the city began to respond to his call. Manholes lifted, streetlights bent, entire vehicles were slowly being pulled into the air.

"My friend Naruto intends to have a good battle, so please stop."

Tony froze, his mind catching onto one single word.

Naruto.

'Wait… Naruto?'

That didn't make sense. He had met Naruto before, and the guy didn't seem like the type to cause wanton destruction.

This was all wrong.

Then, suddenly, realization hit him.

Magneto was baiting them—trying to provoke them into wasting their energy against him, while something else played out elsewhere.

Tony stared at Magneto for a moment.

Then…

He burst into laughter.

A deep, genuine laugh, filled with amusement rather than fear.

"Hahaha! Oh man, this is just too funny."

Magneto raised an eyebrow, slightly annoyed by the reaction.

Tony smirked, his repulsors charging up. "Alright, Magneto. If you wanted to waste our time, congratulations—you got my attention."

Then, with a blazing streak of light, he soared forward, ready for round two.
