Chapter 74 - 74

"Do you see the power he holds?" the detective looked at the cultist. Cause that was these fuckers were, a cult that was agisnt a member of the wwd. Who had torn his way through clones,' I'll admit he's dangerous.' he wouldn't lie or fool himself into thinking he was irrational.

The one who currently called himself Sam was a little off. But he wasn't irrational or unstable. This is what he found by keeping his ear to the ground. Definitely not from the documentation the cult kept, definitely changed for their own benefit.

Why, though? 'What do they gain from attacking him?' Sighing, he looked at the replay of Sam decapitating a body. "So what's the next step?" Someone had to keep an eye on whatever these people had planned.

"This isn't coming out." SamSam stopped in his underwear, looking at the stance in his battle clothes. Sighing, he set it to dry for the moment. "Well, that battle was fun," very relaxing. Smiling to himself a bit, he paced around his room thinking over his next course of action.

"Let's work on mastering the power of lust," focusing on the core. Reaching towards the bag of lust-filled marbles. Calling them to orbit around him. Faster and faster, a visible charge started to build around him. A charge he called into his hand raced over his skin until it condensed around his back.

The semi-transparent wings glowed with the charge. Fluttering softly behind him, small motes of scale-shaped energy dropping off. Looking at the power, lust, dusk. Kind of looks like fairy dust. Letting enough fall off to collect a sample, he moved the charge around until it was focused on his hands.

Rolling the claws, "these won't cut through much." but they definlty had another trick if he paid attention to how the energy was a bit dense around the edges, "to be injected? only one real way to find out." pulling on some shorts Sam jumped out the window letting his wings carry him over the streets. Avoiding the other people flying about.

"Alright, this should work. Looking down, he saw a light gathering," mm. I think the Russian mob." Chuckling, he dropped into the alley, folding his wings against himself before stepping forward towards them. " Hello, fukcer!" Sam smiled as each of them jumped, pulling out all manner of handheartilleryler."

"Is that a GZ laser pistol? And a railgun, oh. What expensive toys yo-!" he was cut off by the impact of the rail gun. Flying into a steel and enchantment-reinforced wall. Even still, it partly caved in from the force." Oh, modified."

Pulling himself from he wall, he rushed at them, relying on the increased flexibility to dodge around the following shots. Stretching and moving in a way that would make a contortionist jealous.

One moment he was before a large shades-wearing woman," fucker!" she cursed, reaching back as he slashed her across the face. Back flipping away from the battle, he springboarded off a wall onto a fire escape and threw himself, looking down at her as she convulsed for a moment before jumping on her other teammates.

"hahah!" Sam chucked a bit," Oh, that is hilarious?" It definitely wasn't appropriate to laugh at the way he was getting assaulted. The heavy kissing noises filled the alley, almost hiding the noise of the struggle." Yeah, definitely this is a dangerous ability." Leaning back for a moment, he jumped off the fire escape, front flipping to build his momentum as he started to fall.

"GAH!" the infected woman cried out as he landed on the back of her head, knocking her face first into the concert, knocking her straight out."Sorry about that," he bowed to the victim before rolling into a handstand, knocking him out with a downward kick.

Following the momentum to his feet again, he looked at the still unconscious mafia and tilted his head, considering them. Sam had a mixed opinion on organized crime; on one hand, it was crime, which was a bad thing outside of survival. Even then, there were things he would not accept. But good because it was orignshed, much better then the places he's been where people did illgela shit just cauese.

There were more reasons, but now, Sam deeply considered before speaking. "Do you deal in human or drug trafficking?"

"No-AH!" Sam immediately jumped around the alleyway and round kicked him." I'm not the kind of person you can lie to!" Skipping back, he avoided the continuous fire of a pistol until the brief moment the clip was magically switched.

It was something that happened in under a second, but it was enough to snatch the lid of a garbage can and dirt off the ground. The dirt was thrown at their face, the lid used to bash aside the weapon as he turned into a backhand against their jaw. "Ha!" continued to turn, he swiped their stumbling legs from under him.

When he hit the ground, SamSam flipped himself several feet into the air. When gravity pulled him, he came down elbow-first into their gut. All of this happened in less than ten seconds. "Well, that was educational. Should I work on controlling those?" Looking over his nails, he did not want people randomly trying to get into someone's pants or skirt like that."

"Is there rope in the trash?" he thought, looking for something to restrain the infected girl. In the end, Sam had to snatch belts and ties to make some bonds before making himself scarce as the police arrived.

"I hit her with full force of this,' he looked at his altered nails before deciding that he was going to work up from the bottom to figure out what was an appropriate amount to use on people. So he searched, hunting down anyone willing to fight that night, despite it being the night many people saw him win a fight.

Still many were willing to go at it with him, he had no idea why some of them were surpised when he resolutly kicked there ass. Especially after he energy poisoned them, so at a low level it causes distraction and loss of concentration. But at higher levels, they care more and more about pleasure and attraction. Consumed by their lust, they gain tunnel vision.

"how simple it is to knock them down after that," the battle junky part of him didn't like this knowledge. But his strategic part saw how it could create many opportunities for him.' I'll have to balance that out.'

"Well, school is in the pouring rain, so let's turn in for the night." Stretching, he climbed back into his room, locking it behind him. He was quick to curl under his covers and conked out for the night.

At one point, curling up even further, the position he woke up in, when someone walked into his room. His eyes snapped open, and he flipped over in bed so he was facing them." Mom, what can I help you with the first thing in the morning?" he groaned, spreading his senses out to see if there was danger.

The only thing was a mildly familiar scent from downstairs." Is my lawyer here?" She nodded and stated he was here cause of some mafia and thugs." Oh yeah, I did that last night." Faceplanting into the pillow, he realized he had probably created some legal problems for himself.

'Oh, this is going to be fun,' he thought, glaring into the pillow before forcing himself to sit up and climb out of bed." I'll be down in a few moments," she nodded, stepping out of the room so Sam could quickly get dressed before coming downstairs.

"Okay, let it out," he waved at the man as he started making himself breakfast. Bring some frozen pancakes out. Sniffing them, he smiled, realizing they were citrus something. More than that, he wasn't sure.' I'll know when I take a bite. Now for something to drink. Woo, spiced apple tea," he set the tea and pancakes to heat before turning toward his lawyer.

"Actually, I'm not mad. The people you knocked out had bounties. Mosney, which will go to the number of debts you now owe!" Aero blinked, walking and pouring himself a cup of tea, which warmed his body with warmth and spices. Then blinked again." Debts?"

"A lot of people and families you beat up on your path through Europe are willing to settle for cash settlements. So, debts." Sam nodded, glad that at least something was easy solved," Well, I'm sure the built over the years."

"Great, I brought the paperwork over." Sam nodded, sliding his cup over and walking towards the stove to get his food. "Alright, what is the total amount that I need?" A piece of paper was slid over.

"ugh!?" he swalooowed the fork. "dam-ah damn it not again!" banging on his cheast he fork moving further down his escophcoues." hate swallowed things like that." drinking some tea to soothe the pain and provide some energy for his rengrneation. he could feel the tattoo shirking from the small scrathes.

"Any, ugh, anyway, I can pay this."

"You have this much money." Sam bit his lip and made so-so with his hand." I have the resources. I think. I know I have some gold and gems in," he paused, trying to think. "I'm thinking Mexico. There was Spanish and also bufflio." he shook his head," There are also the bank accounts I don't have access to, money and investment I left other people in charge of."

"Well, we'll have to get in contact with them." They started walking about what he could pay at the moment, then moving on to monthly installments. It was something that took all of the break and more after to hash out, cause Sam was not really keeping track of his finances.

"You're too confident in your income," Sam smiled. He was probably right:" Well, for the most part, I don't care about money."

"How could you not care?" Sam had an immediate response for that." I spent too many years in the untamed wilderness. where money would save my life and most of the time wasn't something i could even use. unless it was fuel for a campfire," money was usful in civilation which is why he had it in the first place. Much less of a hassle than telling and getting chased.

The lawyer was scrolling through his final record, which they currently had access to at least. "Please, tell me this isn't a fish tank." Turning away from the list he was making of restaurants he had been to. Great way to retrace his steps and solve some mysterious cravings. "It might be, but there's also a chance I broke a tank and paid for its repair."

"This was like seventy years ago, and from what I can tell, in Australia." Sam paused, "I know I have been to Australia, have dendrocnide moroides extract on a blade. In Australia, I think, but I've been there, can't remember what I was doing for the most part." Did he wrestle a shark or not?

"Okay, moving on, there is enough proof that you can pay the fines. Which is going to give you some legal breathing room. The fact you'll pay them will also convince others and be physical proof that you're willing to pay, which will convince more people to take a cash settlement."

"What about those who aren't settling for cash?" he showed a document, a list of demands people wanted, including stolen or broken items. Some just wanted an in-person apology. While others wanted to fight him. "Sam took a moment going through the list of items, letting spark memories. "crused, haunted. Stolen religious artifact, an artifact of the native people. Stolen, stolen. Cursed and haunted. This one I just thought was pretty." Sam continued to go down the items, listing why he had stolen or broken them.

Importantly, there were things he would not, or could not, give back. Some he was willing to return, "a lot of the curses were long dealt with, I just chose to do nothing else beyond that point. "

"Why did you go after the curses?" Sam immediately replied with personal reasons and said nothing else. Knowing he wasn't going to get much or anything at all, he decided that it was time to see if they could make a case of him breaking curses. "It would get some cases dropped. charges lessened."

"Well, I made no records of the curses; the only real way to tell is probably the marks the curse left on the items."

"Which are where?" Sam was a little ashmed to admit he kind of left them where he broke the cruse which was random places across the map. The closest secluded place he could find to deal with the curse. if the items just hadn't broken, he did his best to pinpoint this locations, which was transmitted to the relevant authorities.

"Okay, now about the thing you stole because you thought it looked good." Sam immediately stated he wasn't giving back, couldn't really. "Why not?" Instead of answering, Sam lifted the arm that had the ribbon wrapped around it.

"I could have it in the creation of an artifact, so it's lost some of its shine and size. But if they still want it, there should be a box?" Yeah, that was all he had, but he was probably going to have to pay them.

"ugh, I'll have to submit another form to school for this trip...I'll do it after my upcoming langue test." before that he as going tot ry and remember more of the people he left inchager of the account, check if they were alive or if the accounts had been handed down.

He really wasn't expecting much action with this, a lot of paperwork, but he was also aware that he managed to find himself in something interesting. "I wonder if that mochi shop is still open?" The chances were pretty high; he remembered the place being very popular.

"I hear you headed out of town, again," Daniel muttered as he walked onto the train. "What is it this time?" Sam quickly explained how it was to get his finances in order." I'm really hoping my grades don't drop because of this."

Your grades at worst are C+, I don't think you need to worry."
