Survival Rules For a Side Character
All my life, I’ve been an ordinary person.
I wasn’t a genius, I wasn’t even average in sports or academics.
But I always tried to live with a certain order.
I woke up at the same time every day, went to bed at the same time, studied at the same time, ate at the same time—
Even the time I used the bathroom was the same every day.
And honestly, I was happy that way.
What’s so wrong about being ordinary?
Not everyone has to be a hero.
And I had absolutely zero interest in becoming one.
I didn’t want to be one of those flashy people in class either.
All I wanted was to live a quiet, structured life without drawing attention to myself.
But one day, while reading my favorite fantasy novel, my vision slowly darkened.
And when I opened my eyes again—
Just as you might expect—I had been reincarnated as a side character in the very story I’d been reading.
A side character with no significance to the plot.
The path before me was clear.
I had already created my rules.
Rule #1:
Never get close to the main character.
Rule #2:
Avoid any girl who has the potential to fall in love with the main character.
Rule #3:
No harems allowed.
Rule #4:
Make friends only with people who clearly have side character traits.
These were just a few of my rules.
Of course, some rules might change depending on the situation…
That’s what he believed.
And so, the story began-
The tale of a plain, rule-bound side character trying to survive in a world that didn’t care about side characters.
